a ton of supersets, partials and flexes/holds at contraction
calves 10 sets

did 13 sets of chest and not one movement was a pressing movement. that makes 33 sets of chest in the last week. I’m curious to see how my body responds to the increased volume. So far so good. bdy wt 188.

work is kicking my ass.
oh yeah, insomnia is gone. I now sleep in until 1:45am. the problem was my internalization of stressful shit. Other problems have taken it’s place, but, at least I am sleeping.

the extra day of training is pretty tough. 5 days of 15 - 30 sets each workout adds the fuck up.

It looks like a lot of work to me. i couldn’t decide if you and ddot were joking about your new program being low volume, because it certainly looks like a lot to me.

Lula - hi and thanks for recently making my day. The bully is Reggie and he’s my buddy. Mostly, we avoid chicks, but, he does have the power. My workouts are usually high volume and now with another training day added are even tougher. I have been averaging 23 sets per day x 5/week. I’ll see what I can do about a pic.

Kent - thanks, and I suck with stress management. I’m getting better but still suck. I liked your post about the path of the river. It hit close to home for me.

Matty - Your biased, He’s a Reggie. My shoulder is hurting due to the increased chest and shoulder work. I will have to be more diligent with the shoulder feel good stuff - dislocates, pull aparts, etc… Otherwise, I’m hanging.

for chest, one exercise i did was regular hammer strength chest press - banded. flex at the top of contraction for 2 secs. These hurt good.

bi’s / tri’s /abs
supersetted bi exercise with tri exercise - repeated over 3 exercises.
abs 8 sets

body weight 192

So has JM got you bulking or cutting at the moment? And have you solidified any longer term goals?

Bulking for awhile longer then dieting. Not really, I can’t decide if I want to continue bulking/dieting or just get lean as hell and work within a much smaller weight range. Say 175 - 180. I am going to see how this bulk/diet ends up and go from there.

work up to a difficult 8 and perform 3 sets

smith machine lunges supersetted w/
smith machine squats 3x8 as deep as possible
lunges do 4 reps switch to other leg do 4 reps, then repeat.

extensions 4x8 hold for 3sec flex each rep
stiff leg dl’s - no lockout 2x15

calves 3 sets of 10 reps hold at top for 10 sec, do another 10 reps and hold for 10 sec, 10 more reps + 10 sec hold.
superset w/
seated calves slow deep set of 10, cry your eyes out.

work rant - accounting for other’s cash is a filthy business. My work satisfaction is running very low. People are so fucked up.

I am sure it will not be far from last time. If I can stay in the 170’s I would consider it a success. I need to compare a current pic with one from about a yr ago at the same wt.

ate a ton, trained daily, worked too fucking much, slept not enough.

Work story - arrogant dick client asks me to hide his Gambling winning forms from his wife. Make sure I throw them away before she comes in to pickup their tax return. She has no idea he gambled away approx 30K. I was annoyed by this as I am an just the accountant and I could give a fuck about his gambling problem or his wife deceiving. The douche called me everyday for a week reminding me of MY obligation to remove this info from his materials before his wife gets to it. I pulled all forms just like he asked, but when wifey showed up I went over the tax return line by line with her just so she understood THEIR tax situation. She was not happy when we got to the line that stated gambling winnings. Gambling winnings are reported on page 1. Oops.
