With the starting weight that you gave, it seems like you’re not taking in enough calories. I know the shakes can be boring sometimes, but remember to get them all in during the day.
Today went really well. Didn’t have a huge craving for crappy foods or any food for that matter. Drinking quite a bit of water and my mouth is still dry. Also my skin seems to be more dry as well. Could just be the temp change.
Today is going to be a very challenging day. Tonight is a Halloween party that we are throwing at my house. We are going to have stew and chili and apple cider.
I have been looking forward to this for a while but it was either miss this or miss thanksgiving so I chose halloween. Also we had a pot luck at work with homemade carnitas, spanish rice and dessert of course. Stayed away from it so far without a huge urge to binge.
I actually started the V-Diet yesterday, and started a blog as well to keep up with my stats. I’ll be reading yours to get some tips and inspiration, if I need it.
One question for you. Any idea how to get the flax meal to mix better? I mix it in the shake, but when it settles on the bottom, I end up pretty much just eating the stuff… oh well. Not as bad as I expected…

You’re talking FAR too much about real food. That’s not a good sign.

If all else fails try sneaking a chewy candy into your shakes and blend the shit out of it. You’ll feel so GUILTY that you’ll never mess up anything else on the diet.

I keep my Metabolic Drive in a shaker as I drink it. Then I just keep shaking it so that the flax doesn’t settle at the bottom. I personally like the flax because it give me a little morsel to chew on.

I was taking Peanut Butter but that was making my stomach upset. I made my own cashew butter and I have been using a large tablespoon in 1 shake a day. When I say a 1/4 flax - I am taking 1/4 of my daily serving. I just split it up so that I get a good portion throughout the day.

Talking about it is what helps. I talk about all the things I am not going to partake in. It’s therapeutic for me. There is now worries about me quitting. I have made it this far I’m not stopping now. Today is the first day I really feel like the weight loss is noticeable. My face has slimmed down some and my jeans are getting loose. That is all the motivation I need to keep going.
Yesterday was day 9 and pretty easy. I cooked a ton of stew for my party and didn’t take one bite even though I love that damn stuff.
Whenever I felt really hungry I just had a shake. Filled the day with 5 shakes and 1 pwo shake.
0715 - HOT-ROX, BCAA’s
0800 - Metabolic Drive, Flameout, Flax
1030 - PWO surge.
1200 - Metabolic Drive, Flameout
0315 - Metabolic Drive, flax, cashew butter, BCAA’s
***Sunflower seeds. I had a handful of sunflower seeds. My urge to eat was killing me and I was away from home longer then expected.

Wednesday was tough for some reason. I was out at Chuck E Cheese because my son got a great progress report at school and that is where he wanted to go. The whole place smelled like Pizza! I grabbed a pack of Sunflower seeds to offset my urge to eat. It really helped and since I am a little low on calories for the day it shouldn’t affect my progress.
AWESOME JOB with the Halloween party. Its one thing to be surrounded by food on a daily basis, and be able to leave or avoid it, but quite another to be surrounded by yummy food you made yourself, and know that you could be enjoying!
I am slightly apprehensive, bc tonight is my highschool reunion. Wine and Cheese, catered event. I’ve got my shake pre-made, but still kind of anxiously anticipating the constant temptations.

And regarding your rant about ppl feeling awkward around you? Well, at least you aren’t being stopped in the office hallways, and told that you have an eating disorder! (as I have!) you are surrounded by ppl’s misguided attempts to support you!

Thx for keeping an eye on me! GL on the High School reunion. What helps me is just making sure I don’t wait too long between shakes. That is when the cravings really sit in. What day are you on?
Hard core dude. Keep it up and don’t puss out. If you get sick of the shakes I suggest just putting the powder in a small bowl, lick your finger, dip finger in powder and eat the powder lick-a-stix style (remember lick-a-stix??)
Also, Try Metabolic Drive ice cream by blending it with ice and a little water. Get some green tea powder (macha) and make green tea ice cream out of vanilla.
BTW the reason the water is making you dry is because you are drinking too much at once and it is becoming a diuretic. Sip, sip, sip.
Day 11-12 were the same as Wednesday the 10th day. Friday was extremely easy and things are really setting in. I dreamt about eating a whole bag of chips on friday night. The funny thing is that the bag of chips had an endless amount of crumbs at the bottom. I kept reaching in and pullin out handfuls of crumbs and shoving them in my mouth! Other than that Saturday is my meal day.

Forgot to take my second dose of HOT-ROX
Had a hard time on yesterday and had a couple thoughts of quitting. Stayed strong and finished the day. I feel like the weight loss is going well. I have lost a lot in my gut and my face has slimmed down quite a bit.
Today I am going to weigh in at the Gym. Last week I tried to weigh myself and I ended up at 214lbs again. I didn’t change any. The wierd thing is my pants a loose and I feel like I have lost some weight. I don’t think I have gained enough muscle to offset the weight gain.
I am just trying to keep muscle on this diet. The scale at the gym is rather wierd as well. At any rate I will weigh in and report back later today.
