After a lot of communicating with the creator and reading the threads of the other V-Dieters, it’s finally my turn. I’m a 32yr from NJ, who now has no excuses. I live alone, no real distractions, my own home gym and a treadmill. I have never seen my abs although I’ve lifted weights for years and attempted many diets. I found T-Nation and the velocity diet by accident and I haven’t looked back since. I start officially tomorrow.
I will be following the weight program that Gustavo from the clinic used…admittedly not as heavy this time around. I took my starting measurements this morning and they are as follows:
I have no idea what my body fat % is but my goal is to be single digit. So, since I’ve put it out there, I’m now accountable to several thousand who may read my thread and to the creator, Chris Shugart who never failed to answer my questions.
Alright Qaash, time to change that physique and kick some butt on that fat!
Wow, this is cool. Now, I get to watch you transform. All eyes on you my friend and I have a lot of faith in you my brother. You put yourself out there on your own and I know you will change
Be strong and remember, the more you resist those temptations, the stronger those changes in taste become. Spartan these 28 days and come out looking like one.
No such thing as luck, it’s all about Labor Under Constructive Knowledge!
Woke at 6a.m. had first serving of BCAA, 3 tabs.
2 HOT-ROX at 7a.m.
NEPA walk on treadmill inclined 4 degrees-3.5 mph at 7:30
NEPA walk ended at 8, 2nd serving of 3 BCAAs followed by Vanilla Metabolic Drive with tsp coffee.
During NEPA walk, I was getting excited cause I felt this sudden heat while I walked that usually takes a while when I do my regular cardio work, I like to think it was the HOT-ROX going into effect. My next shake will be around 10.
I had to rework my meal scheduling from my original plan because I ended up on jury duty and had to work my shakes around the break schedule the court gives us. I more or less got the pattern down and should be fine with the supplement timing as well…but I’ll manage either way. I have the day off for the holiday so at least everything today will be on schedule.
These are my tools of the trade for the V-Diet…no portable blenders in court so I have to pre-make my shakes at home with ice. I had already done this before to prepare for the habit… three separate colors so I’ll know whats in what as one will contain the milled flax seed.

Ok, day one almost over. I had my third shake at 1 p.m. strawberry Metabolic Drive with flax and 3 Flameout, as well as, Animal Pak multi-vitamins.
Second serving of HOT-ROX at 3:30 followed by fourth shake, banana cream Metabolic Drive at 4. I’ve been feeling full all day, with multiple bathroom visits to pee.
I just completed my first workout which took all of a half hour and as I write this, I’m drinking my raspberry Surge Recovery…very very sweet.
Before the workout I has a serving of BCAA’s. The work out itself wasn’t bad… I underestimated myself and didn’t use any weight on my pull-ups, next week I’ll add a 25lb. plate. The tricky one was the over-head squat. It’s a new exercise to me and felt real awkward doing it, I went low on this one too and only used 70lbs. next week that goes up too.
The next execise in the original workout is dips but I don’t have a dip station as I train at home. I had spoken to Chris and he suggested decline bench presses as a substitute. Again, I went too low at 115, next work out that goes up to 135lbs.
Planks suck…I managed the fist set for each side, the second however was embarrassing, even if I do train alone…I kept falling under my own weight. All told, I’m feeling good and just psyching myself up for the rest of the week.
I’ll end the day with one more shake at 9p.m. with flax and another 3 Flameout. At 10:30, I’ll have the final serving of BCAA’s and ZMA before bed.
Morning, It’s 7a.m. my time and I just had my first serving of BCAAs for the day at 6:50. I went to sleep at a 11 or so last night. I’m taking ZMA with my last serving of BCAAs in order to get a good nights sleep. It was a restful evening. Since my first meal is at 8, I’ll be taking my first serving of HOT-ROX at 7:30.
Today is the first real test for me as I’ll be away from home and in court today. Except for the break schedules I don’t anticipate any real problems. We’ll see.
So remember when I wrote no problems anticipated…well the scheduling today got chopped up today so everything was later than planned for.
Meal 2 was at 10:15- strawberry Metabolic Drive
Meal 3 was at 1- chocolate Metabolic Drive with flax and 3 caps of Flameout as well as Animal pak multi-vitamins
Second serving of HOT-ROX at 4 followed by
Meal 4 of banana Metabolic Drive with a serving of BCAA’s an hour later.
The fourth meal left me feeling really full and heavy. I was supposed to box tonight but felt like I needed to be near a bathroom at all times, so instead I did a NEPA walk on the treadmill for 35 minutes, 3.5mph @ 4 degrees incline. I usually don’t eat anything before boxing because I become sluggish and can’t move with proper speed.
RANT
I hate jury duty. I have a lot of autonomy at work and pretty much do as I please as long as my work is done. Being at work this would all be a lot easier as there are enough distractions to keep me occupied. In a court room, however, I’m subject to someone else’s whims and it sucks ass. I actually have to raise my hand to use the bathroom like I was in elementary school…did I mention I hate jury duty?
As I write this I’m finishing Meal 5 vanilla Metabolic Drive with flax ,natural peanut butter and 3 caps Flameout.
At 10p.m. I’ll have my final serving of BCAA’s and ZMA.
