Needing Some Workout/Diet Help

Last november, i started training in martial arts because it looked like fun and I needed to cut weight. It has almost been a year and since then I have went from 200 to 190.

Although I only did lose 10lbs, I definately strengthened and toned my body significantly…I’ve got huge stretch marks on my arms and legs, but still, I was hoping to not only gain muscle but to lose weight.

To be honest, I only really lost the 10 lbs in the last 2 months by eating better, and in those two months I have decreased my time at martial arts by a lot. I used to put in atleast 10 hrs a week, and now (because of a summer job) I am forced to between 2-4 hours.

In an average day, I would consume between 1500-2000 calories, is this too much? Is it okay that I eat the same on rest days and workout days?

My goal is to weigh about 165. If anyone can recommend changes to (or additions in) my workout plan and my diet, I’d appreciate it. A big question I also had was, is it okay to be training once or twice a week for three or four hours rather than an hour each day?

1500-2000 id say is to little for a training person.

changes well you need to tell us what your eating. Id also read the are you a beginner thread and the diet article in it for some basic education

training yes sure it is train when you can bro may not be optimal but better then nothing
