I’ve been cutting and training for the past 2 years and went form ~185-150 pounds (i’m around 5’8). Now that i’m at my desired body fat % ~7-10 (i think), I’ve decided to let myself have a cheat meal weekly/biweekly. However, I don’t know what I should have! given that there’s SOOO MUCH DELICIOUS FOOD to cheat on…
So any ideas of good cheat meals(anything goes)? Also would it be better to have my cheat meal pre/post workout, or should I have it on my off day?
No 150 lbs is definitely not my goal, rather its to start gaining lean mass. So are you suggesting I shouldn’t have cheat meals at all? but rather eat anything I want? lol. As well, the reason i’m asking for good ideas for cheat meal is because I can’t, sadly, decide for myself! I’ve been disengaged from these foods for so long that I don’t know where to start, so I thought it’d be a good idea to ask you people for some ideas of what you guys tend to feast upon

?
Lean mass is what any of us gain. You diet the fat off while not letting it get out of control while gaining.
You will be stuck near 150lbs thinking like you are now.
I didn’t say eat anything you want all of the time. Your entire diet should be ENJOYABLE and WORKING as far as progress. The fact that you are GAINING and need cheat meals is very telling.
Why would I need a cheat meal during times when I am feeding my body everything it needs to grow?
You decided to focus on abs before you built any mass.
That is ass backwards. Good luck getting past the mental blocks that will keep you from eating enough to grow since your abs are all you will focus on.
Also, I may go all out and eat pizza, wings and whatever the hell else once or twice a week but most of my diet even when gaining is usually free enough to where I don’t feel depleted enough to need a “cheat day”.
I throw those in when losing weight to keep me sane and to keep my metabolism high.
^ I guess I shouldn’t need cheat meals if I’m not cutting, and just eat more of what I like while getting the appropriate nutrients. Ya, the previous focus I’ve had on getting abs may have undermined my strength gains. thanks prof X! I’ve always enjoyed your criticisms/comments

You’ve been cutting for 2 years?
What?

Yup, before when I was chubby ~180 lbs, my strength although satisfactory lacked complete stamina which I needed for high school rugby. Despite major improvements in my stamina, my strength has however only increased marginally since I’ve lost 30 pounds over two years. Now, like most people, i’m hoping to accelerate my strength gains while maintaining my stamina/fat gains.

Eat what you bloody want or its not a cheat!
Mine started at 2 hours ago at 12, and will proceed to 12 tonight.
So far has been
8 cherry bakewell tarts
fish butty
500g wine gums
1 ltr lucozade
3 packs fruit pastilles[/quote]
That lists looks soo good given that I have a huge craving for sweets as well. While would like to eat whatever I want, that list is just too long/big. Perhaps I’m too indecisive, sadly, which is why i’ve asked for suggestions on meals
^ haha problem with my ideas for cheat meals is that their mainly towards sweets rather than burgers and etc… However I wouldn’t mind pairing my sweets with other more protein rich food if it’s not too much…(I tend to go overboard while indulging in sweets… such as whole cheesecakes (600 grams), pies (~800 grams), 6-8 muffins, 2 L ice cream/frozen yogurt… you get the idea…)

I now feel genuinely ill.
Why is this list too big? just eat what you want for a certain period, allocate yourself a certain time say 2 hours on a sunday, and eat what you fancy in them hours.
Personally I like to eat far too much on my cheat day, I eat myself till I feel ill, so I dont crave anything throughout the week, I’m upto 12 hours at the moment and weight has stabilised, I’m still getting leaner.
Youd be surprised how much rubbish you can get away with eating and grow and get leaner when its timed right (after calorific depletion periods or pre wo etc)

People are getting irritated because you are turning something that literally means “don’t give a shit” into “let’s micro-analyze every aspect of it”.
You are by no means at a stage where it fucking matters.
