Those aren’t your abs. Those are rolls of fatty tissue. Your abs aren’y hypertrophied enough for you to see them no matter what your bodyfat percentage is. You just dont have the genetics to have visible abs at this point. Some skinny guys have abs without much muscle but they have genetics for prominant abs. You need a ton of mass before you’ll be able to have a solid midsection. Mass all over because if you focus on making your ab muscles grow you’ll just look like you have a gut.
You don’t seem to have a grasp on what a percentage means. You don’t have enough muscle on your frame to get down to single digits and still look like you’ve ever lifted a weight.
The picture in my profile where you can see my abs is me around 11%. Definitely not single digits.
Abdominals are the same as bicep peaks. You either have the genetics for pretty ones or you don’t. If the latter is the case you’ll need to make them grow a ton before you cut down. Then you’ll need to stay at that artificially low bodyfat percentage to keep them visible. You can’t change the tendon depth or the size of the muscle belly.
I think you should just quit.
COOL STORY, BRO

Aw is that all you’ve got??
Does the fact that I stay leaner while bulking than you’ll ever be upset you? (Rhetorical question)
FACT: You have done steroids. How do I know? I’ve checked your hub.
FACT: I’m cutting to 5% then never getting above 12% on bulks.
You CHECKED MY HUB?
HOLY SHIT ! You’re a bad mannn. Are you one of those hardcorz inteweb hackerZzZ?
I guarentee you will never get anywhere near 5% without looking completely emaciated. You already don’t look like you’ve ever lifted a weight so I’m pretty sure I’m going to win that.

If I had to make a complete guess I would say you’re around 15%…but that’s just a complete half assed guess based off of a few pictures. Everyone is right though. You should focus on putting on some more mass before you lean out. If you were to drop down into the single digits right now I dont think you would look like you’re expecting.

What is blocked out by the little black circle under your right arm? Mini-me? Tinkerbell? A lone photo of your face hanging on the wall? I know . . . it’s the shoe, isn’t it? Damn you!

This kid doesn’t look too bad - particularly in that pose - arms look pretty good. I mean, he could use more mass, and his crummy attitude and incessant use of the supremely stupid term “Brah” is bothersome, but some of you guys need to lighten up.
There are a lot of folks here who seem to have taken some of the praise they’ve received to heart, and have turned into insufferable assholes because of it.
I’m all for letting guys who obviously don’t even lift have it full force, but some of the comments here are patently false and are obviously being put out there just to shit on this dude…

Alright. We really don’t need a shoe to determine bodyfat.
Just ask deanvoyer09, he’ll set you up right,
brah.
Hey OP,
You should ask this guy for advice, you seem to be in the same lot as him.
Here’s his thread:

I don’t know, with those crocs there you look around 9 to me.
I think op’s got decent arms, even if he is definitely +15%bf
if you really not going to post a shoe pic at leats give us a fighting chance with a pic where we can see your foot to waist ratio.

Alright. We really don’t need one shoe to determine bodyfat.
Fix. We need TWO shoes…
First off: The first shoe comment made me laugh my ass off.
Second: You say you’re 206 pounds. You look like 15% of that is fat. (Let’s say it’s accurate) Your current lean mass is 175 pounds.
206-(206*.85/.91)=14 pounds
If you retain the muscle and drop down to 9% you need to lose 14 pounds of fat.
206-(206*.85/.95)=22 pounds
To drop down to 5% with retained LBM you need to lose 22 pounds of fat.
If you’re 14% fat: 11 pounds and 20 pounds respectively. (9 or 5 % fat)
If you’re 13% fat: 9 pounds and 17 pounds respectively.
A famous Swedish physicist said that a good physicist should be able to, without any data, calculate anything to the correct power of ten (not quite sure how to translate that last expresion from swedish). That’s why I ventured into calculating based on a shoeless picture.
EDIT: wrote “without a shoeless pic”, which makes no sense in this context.

Work with me here, cause I killed the thread.
BW at time of pic -(BW at time of pic*(1- (current BF%age)/100)*(1-(desired BF%age)/100))
That’s how many pounds of fat you need to lose from BW at time of pic to reach desired BF percentage if your lean mass stays the same.
192-(192*.85/.91)= 13 pounds, which is what you need to lose to be 9%
192-(192*.85/.95)= 20 pounds, which is what you need to lose to be 5%
Assuming that you’re BF is 15%, which is a fair assumption. It’s often a bit higher than you think. Visible abs doesn’t mean 10-12%, I think 15 is somewhat accurate.
This is a ballpark figure. 5% without losing muscle sounds hard. 9% seems completely possible. Since you’ve discovered this site, I don’t doubt that you’ll make it. Just remember that while reading the articles is silver, working hard is gold.
Good luck!
