NCAA testing

I am working with a Division One athlete whose joints have been taking a beating, naturally I suggested the Glucosamine and Chrondium stack. However, she was talking with one of her teamates and the teamate said that taking this would result in a positive drug test. I looked everywhere but couldn’t find a list of what the NCAA tests for and or if taking G&C would violate it. So if some t-men (or women) could help me out I would greatly appriciate it. Also, would creatine or ma hang result in a positive test. Thank you for your time.

On an aside, take care in developing her legs and knee joints. Too many top female athletes are out because of ACL injuries, resulting from underdevlopment/poor training in their younger years. In other words, they were trained like girls, not athletes!

Actually, women get more knee injuries because our hips are wider, thus the femur is at a slightly different angle than a man’s. This creates more stress on the ACL - acording to my ‘althletic injury care’ text from college.

Only the ma huang would be a problem and only for three days or so. If you are a college athlete you should stay clean until that first test when they do everybody. Then do anything you want. The next test will be randomn if they can afford it and if they choose you and you are dirty either don’t show for the test or don’t pee. Literally…don’t piss. Make up whatever you want but the fact is they will tell you to come back when you can. Then you never show for that one. the thing is most schools will test for real once then the rest of the randomns are about fifty fifty real to fake. since you have already proved you were clean to start the issue is not drug use it is insubordinance. By the time the athletic director gets around to seeing you on the matter your season should be in full swing or over everybody is busy lots of excuses can be made and you can buy enough time to get clean or in some cases like if you were a senior and didn’t give a shit just dodge them til the season is over. I took five years to finish school and I went to five different schools to do it and played basketball at three of them, I have seen this done many times by many different athletes. If fact one of my teammantes was smoking weed in his dorm room and the RA’s came to bust him and he told them to fuck off and get a search warrant. He never even opened the door. So by the time they got a search warrant, the weed was all smoked. No proof of shit. They tried to drug test him in the randomn that came up and he just pissed said he didn’t give a shit cause our season only had two possible weeks left. He tested negative…There is no way they tested this guy because if the did they would have seen Bob Marley in his urine.

Your friend is pretty lucky. If he had gone to school where I did, and refused to open a door, the RA’s would have probably ended up calling the cops, who don’t need a search warrant in that case (pot smoke present). Even barring that, he would’ve probably been looking for “alternative” living arrangements once housing officials found out the particulars of the situation. And yes, this is court-tested.

No, not really. There are tons of different theories about why women have twice as many ACL tears as men. My trainer from college (who also taught the course) always emphasised plenty of quad and hamstring streching. I have never had knee problems - knock on wood!! - and I have always attributed it to strong legs overall, but that may not be true. sorry i can’t be more helpful!

I’ve had good success with joint pain by using MSM.

Trust me on this one…you’ll will not be stopped for taking creatine…however, ephedine is a different story. Ma Huang known as “chinese ecstacy” speeds your heart rate…so if the NCAA is looking for that…they’ll find it…but creatine is all natural… so stack it with Glutamine for some great results. GOOD LUCK
