Doesn’t look like we’re making a bowl this season, before I was thinking of transferring and I was also thinking of taking a pro-hormone or steroid and after advice and self reflection, I decided not to. Ultimatly I want to make the next level, I thought i was ready for pro hormones because i have down the dedication and lifestyle where my life revolves around training. Eating the right amount of calories and my desired macro breakdown, getting enough sleep, staying away from drugs and alchohol, and drinking enough water are all just examples of this.
I am about 6’3 250 pounds and a pretty low body fat(10-12% realistically), i played defensive end my first year but switched to tight end and run about a 4.65 to 4.75. I train extremely hard with my team and push my body to the limits every workout. After extensive research I have come up with this stack:
100% Whey Protein (protein)
Green Magnitude(creatine)
Orange Triad (Multi)
Omega 3 Fish Oil (joint health)
Jack3d (Pre Workout)
Man Clout ( Recovery, Athletic Performance)
Bulk BCAA’s ( Recovery)
As far as my knowledge and research, all of these are considered NCAA legal. My goal this off-season is to keep my speed but gain about 10 pounds of muscle. Obviously through hard work every day I want to get bigger, stronger, faster. I feel that this stack ALONG WITH great nutrition, proper sleep, and a dedicated lifestyle I will make significant gains.
I was wondering if there were any other muscle building or any other products people would recommend. I was looking at X Factor but because of the cost and some reports of it being dangerous, i opted not to try it. I appreciate your patience and response, i get money because i have a scholarship and have some extra money from a good summer job so cost isn’t that important just interested in any other products which would drastically help me. Also, feel free to add if anyone thinks there is overkill in this stack or any of these products would be better substituted with any else because I’m not sure if Man Clout and BCAAs are too much. Thank you, really any help you can offer is appreciated in reaching my goals.
Stay away from prohormones as you will most likely piss positive.
I play D1 as well and I have not had any problems with Biotest supps from this site. I have used Flameout, FA3, Creatine, Superfood, L-Leucine, Rhodiola Rosea, Curcumin 500, ZMA, Power Drive, FINiBARs, Alpha-GPC, Surge Workout Fuel, Surge Recovery, and Metabolic Drive Complete. Damn, that’s a lot. Wish I was on scholarship.
If money isn’t a problem I would look into Thib’s Peri-Workout Protocol, especially after Anaconda and MAG-10 protein come out.
Hope this helps. I think Biotest has some quality supps from what I’ve experienced so far.

thanks man, great response… anymore are appreciated
I too play d-1…as far as ncaa approved supplements pretty much anything that you can buy from your local gnc or vitamin shoppe is legal (except the stuff they keep behind the glass cases lol those or test boosters or anabolic whatever stuff)
Anyway your supp list seems solid you have the major supps checked and its good that your nutrition and training are in check. Some suggestions…bcaas are unnessary really as long as youre eating protein and drinking whey as bcaas are the main component(saves you money).
Good choice on Jack3d as it has gotten lots of praise though I havent tried it, but I think you should maybe opt for a powder creatine instead of the pills as pills have a rep for not absorbing properly (might I personally suggest BSNs Cellmass or another creatine formula) Those creatines I have used they are safe and are excellent at adding weight and strength IF used properly (do not follow directions all the way lol).
But all in all good supplement stack, not much other than creatine us football players can take, we have to do it all on our own in the weight room and on the feild. Best of luck dude…
I took tons of BCAA(leucine looks promising as well) and up to 12 Flameout capsules a day. This helped me SIGNIFICANTLY with recovery and keeping my body anabolic.
I think the biggest thing you can do is make sure you are eating right. Metabolic Drive complete helped me with that. I also like creatine, ZMA, Surge Recovery and Fuel.
I can’t over stress diet though. Supplements are designed to supplement your diet, not a be all end all. You probably know this already.
Biotest in my experience has the best supplements and quality bar none.
and ya it sounds lame coming from the site that is sponsored by the company… but in all honesty Biotest stuff is high quality… just awesome products compared to the crap at GNC or vitamin shoppe.
I dont really have much to add to what you’ve researched, the big thing is training right, sleeping, eating, and peri-workout nutrition. I’m unfamiliar with a few of the products you listed.
If I were to add any input from my own personal experiences its that I have seen great results from 3 main supplements: Fish oil, creatine monohydrate, and CLA (obv the basics of protein and recovery products as well). Pretty much everything else I’ve tried had little to no noticeable impact when added to the basics (other creatines, BCAA, nitric oxide bs, etc)
Congratulations on your 40 yard dash times and success in transitioning from defense to offense. Good luck on getting your times down.
May I recommend Surge Workout Fuel 15-30 minutes before your workout, and Surge Recovery directly after? I have found these products help with focus during the workouts and soreness afterward. I have never had a bad workout on Surge Workout Fuel.
I am certain you will be great. Keep working hard.
Coming from a collegiate strength coach, just be carefull with the pre-workout products. Some of the products out there definitly have ncaa non-compliant ingredients. With smaller, less known, companies you also run the risk of getting “spiked” supplements. Try and stick with well known companies and companies that have a collegiate nutrition branch “cytosport”(muscle-milk).
Just some advise regarding supplements, etc while still a collegiate athlete.
I am assuming you play NCAA Div 1A (FBS) since you said you didn’t make a bowl this season. You also said you were thinking of transfering, so I’d assume you have at least 1 more year of eligibility. I would be VERY careful about what you take (supplements, steroids, etc) because the NCAA has the right to test you at ANY point during the year, in season, off season, winter, summer, etc. If you fail a drug test, you are banned from competition for 365 days from the date of the failed drug test. So just don’t assume you are completely safe just because you are not in season.
If you are concerned or want to check if your supps are banned or not, check out this website: Drug Free Sport AXIS™ - Athlete Education Resources | Drug Free Sport
Click on NCAA and the login should automatically pop up as NCAA Division 1. Password is: ncaa1. Click on the right hand side “Ask about dietary supplements”. Fill out all required info. In the Supplement Info box, I would be as specific as possible…tell the manufacturing company, product name, and even get a link to the ingredient list if possible. They normally respond in 2-3 days.
I play d-1 as well, having tried man clout and green magnitude I can say that you would be much better off buying a creatine monohydrate and some beta-alanine powder, I mix mine with Surge Recovery pre and post workout to take advantage of the increased absorption resulting from the subsequent insulin spike. A container of Biotest creatine and NOW beta alanine will last you months and cost about 1/3 the price.
I know cost isnt an issue but having tried both why even waste the extra money? Better off spent on surge recovery for pre/post workout, and a protein like Metabolic Drive for meals.
Focusing on box squat and hamstring strength has really helped my speed in the past offseason.
If you want to add in extra calories I make shakes with 2 cups oats, 2 scoops protein, 2 tbsp nat peanut butter, and frozen strawberries. good way to get extra calories without eating shit food
also coming from a D1 coach, if you truly want to “make the next level” stop worrying about what stacks will make you bigger, stronger, faster, leaner, etc… and worry more about playing better football.
I agree with the guys who say dont worry about supps and just focus on playing better ball, players who are the greatest train the hardest. On the other han d I forgot to mention if you do take supps stay away from the pre workout drinks. They are popular and some work but the high levels of caffeine could get you in trouble as it is on the list off banned subs (in great excess of course). Good luck!
