That’s because you were probably the one getting picked on by boys that were. Hence the whole passive aggressive thing.

Not really an ‘lol’ thing because it’s more sad than anything else.
You are really doing a shitty job to get me. But you are persistent, I give you that.

Nah, I was more the one doing the bullying and I think I established in another thread that many posters on TN were bully victims. Probably explains the superhero stuff.

ps: Btw, my original comment wasn’t meant to be negative. Don’t know why ID took it that way.
not to get too all up in this but the kids like me that were small, pudgy, and weak were the ones aspiring to be superheroes. The bullies already had the physical dominance over the smaller kids and so for the most part thought comic books were stupid.
slow clap for this.

Not even taking a cheap shot, but none of your posts imply “person in position of power” in the least.

Your approach screams “lashing back for all ‘they’ did to me”.

In all honesty, the only thing that annoys me about infinite_shore is that he never even tries to be constructive–he is a dick on every thread he comments on. He’s a 30 year old man who posts on an online forum for the distinct purpose of derailing threads. I agree with PX insofar as the way he approaches posting does not seem like someone who is probably doing very well professionally irl.

Threads involving PX may degenerate into useless bickering and whatnot, but I don’t get the sense that he comes into a thread looking to do so–it’s more just that he doesn’t do well with other perspectives. That’s unfortunate, but forgivable. Infinite_shore’s posts only diminish the overall post quality and informativeness of the threads in which they appear.

I would say everything about your behavior on here is “screaming” major bully victim.

? Dude, I went to mostly magnet schools filled with nerds. My high school was nerd central. No one was being “bullied” at Debakey High. Too many wannabe health professionals and lawyers.

All else being equal…
In the neighborhood of 3lbs per inch oh height lean.
If you ‘know a guy’ 3.5+

This whole witch hunt mentality is ridiculous.

I know where it stems from. I’ve been caught up in it from time to time myself. But the truth is, the only reason natural trainees feel the need to question everyone else’s natural status is because, on some level, they feel like they’re in competition with every other weightlifter in the world.
IMO…when natty lifters know within themselves that they really are only giving a half-ass effort this is the case. Lifters that are busting their asses are to busy.

Not sure I agree, some lifters out there bust there ass and get pissed off when they see others still doing better than them. I was the same way a few years ago (I was much more dedicated a few years ago than I am today) but didn’t have the self assurance to realize I’m not in competition with them.

Either way, I appreciate your perspective and I’m sure there are plenty of cases to back it up.

agreed with bluecollar. I felt that way for years, until a little over a year ago when I decided to train seriously. This time last year I was barely past repping 135 on bench and 225 on deadlifts, even though I frequented this site and others every week - clearly it was my fault for being so inconsistent and lazy, but I put the blame on whatever excuses were in the way
I agree to a point. Looking back, I always knew what was realistic for myself. I’ll personally most likely never be 200+lbs at 10% lifting unassisted, and even 190 seems like a stretch (I’m 176cm/5’9’'). As long as we know not to strive for unrealistic gains, working out with physique in mind can still be a very rewarding and worthwhile endeavor.
The thing is, you’re riding a line between realistic expectations, which can go a long way in mentally accepting progress, and the belief you can get bigger than what you and anyone else expects given your chemical limitations (non-use of steroids). The problem lies in figuring out what exactly a realistic physique is; comparing yourself to other natural lifters is scientifically flawed because you can’t factor in a myriad of variables like genetics, training and nutrition. So you’re left with the knowledge you can’t get as big as the guys in your weight class competing at the Arnold Classic and the lack of knowledge of how much you as a natural lifter can progress.

It’s because of all this that you just have to ignore everyone else and concentrate on your won physique. Get educated, train hard, eat right and evaluate your own results against where you were before. If you keep doing that who gives a crap how big your buddy is.
