This training cycle has been a monster. I am hoping to go out with a bang , as this will be my last powerlifting meet of my collegiate career. I love this sport but I need to spend some time on my other strength and wellness goals , before I step back on the platform. Let the white lights shine !!!

Plane leaves tomorrow at 9am. Time to do work.

Awesome man, can’t wait to hear all about the fantastic meet!

A great performance NATOR! How did the team do? What’s next, Men’s Open Nationals?

Do you have any video?

Thanks man , The team kicked ass we came in second in both Men’s and women’s team and won the overall National title, which is always our ultimate goal. In terms of what’s next ,I think it is time for me to take a break from powerlifting. I have pushed really hard for the last 4 years with one goal and that has made me a little unbalanced in terms of what I want from myself physically . I put about 600lbs on my total 1183 in 2006 to 1779 in 2010. With that increase I have gained about 50lbs some good some bad . So my first goal is to drop about 30lbs and lean up. And fix some muscular issues I have such as a more balanced physique. I will still be lifting the big three lifts , but I am going to enjoy experimenting with many variations and focusing more on balancing my proportions over the next year. This way when I chose to return to powerlifting and I am sure I will at some point I will be a better athlete in the long run.

Well that is one hell of a result!

Putting 600 pounds on your total in 4 years is absolutely astonishing progress! You have a lot to be proud of.

Did you deviate from the peaking cycle at all? Is there anything you would change? Did everyone that used it seem to benefit from it? I am thinking about utilizing it or something very similar to peak for a meet in January, and if it works well, I will use it to peak for Men’s Nationals in 2011. So once I get past my meet in the middle of June I’ll want to talk with you more about it.

Good for you, I’m sure you’ll be better and stronger for doing that in the long run.

Pm me when you get ready to peak .I have a few things would change but over all everyone who did the cycle put 30-100 pounds on their total in 12 weeks.
