Nationalism - What Do You Think?

It also didn’t help that the EU reallocated their debt to Greece to make the other countries look more prosperous.
Part of the reason I dislike the EU.

Hello strawman.

Nobody has done that. That was an offhand comment by zecarlo mocking her courtry for that which she had no control.
You fell for the word of a troll, not poisoneve. She’s done nothing wrong.

She’s just a girl getting attacked by a bunch of SJW’S like they are Antifa…

It sounds like they ‘thought police’ are discriminating you for speaking about your experiences in life.

Well, if I make it to Greece, I would be honored if you would show us around.
I’ll tell you all about America over some olives.

No, the fact that I said inner city and criminals and you think race says something about your views.

It’s not about race for blacks but it is when it comes to gypsies. Got it.

Get a room.

I also would not have said anything had I known she wasn’t white.

RACIST!

You do know you called me that when I did criticize her? You’re nothing if you aren’t inconsistent.

This is a different issue. But Greece’s economic woes are a combination of things. Corruption, over borrowing and the EU treating it like debt garbage dump. That’s the short version.

Not sure what this has to do with anything unless you are planning to move there. As visitor you wouldn’t notice a damn thing. Just history and beauty.

Yea, although never to a place with a higher crime rate than the USA.

If I knew someone personally and they said this, I would respond with “not being able to discern the difference is what makes you a racist.”

Cute. Discussing the relative difference between competing issues given that bandwidth for change is finite after it was brought up by several other people and completely ignored by op is strawman. cute.

Greece’s economic woes have a single linchpin. You can get rid of all of it’s other economic problems (however impossible it would be) and it still wouldn’t save them from an unmanageable idiot fueled pension program. It wasn’t sustainable when it was voted for, and it’s not sustainable now. It’s just math.

It has nothing to do with getting robbed by gypsies. That’s a continent wide problem, not unique to Greece.
Hence, it’s a strawman.

I was re-iterating what others had said, not on offense against his argument, but in bringing up a competing worry (or should be) that will keep Greece from being able to dig itself out of it’s economic shitstorm of failure.

He’s perfectly capable of caring about both, but the point that “fixing” the problem he has with gypsies doesn’t move the needle into a manageable location isn’t a strawman.

You DO know what a strawman is, right?

He’s the one that wanted to ask the wizard for a brain?

He was played by Ron Jeremy.

Oh, yeah. Happy 4th of July everyone!

Hey @poisoneve,
I think I have had about enough of these people’s self-righteousness, arrogance, and judgement on topics they simply don’t understand.

Well, now you know one thing about Americans, some are arrogant and judgemental even about things they know nothing about. And more than that, they are also desperate to show everybody how ‘good’ and ‘righteous’ they are, publically.
Many Americans are not like that and I hope this hasn’t tainted your view of our country.
Anyway, if you will join me. I choose now to leave this thread and not rejoin it. I hope you go with me and we can talk on other, friendlier threads later on.

However, if you choose to stay here (in this thread) and argue or fight, I will have your back and I will help.
Ciao!

Everyone here knows that “Gypsy” is not a race, right?

Of course I’ll saw you around Greece, do not have to worry about that and make useful suggestions too!
No no I still have the same opinion about the US, ahead of the rest of the world and really fun to visit it someday, it would be idiotic from me if I judge from one or two people that are obviously generally not from the right point of view.
Thank you about my English, the thing is I used to talk it more fruently with correct tenses etc but its been eight years since I got a proficiency certification in English so I stopped being taught them, here in Greece we don’t speak them and I kind of neglected some things, even the basics lol but I’m planning to fresh them as I just received some books I ordered from Amazon and with a dictionary’s help nothing is going to slip haha
Yeah, I’m not planning on answering here, I told you to do the same and stop wasting your valuable time, I’m also really excited about your views as you seem to know a lot more than the average person of the us about Greece’s and eu problems as well…
I’m wondering how did you manage to get this information or education as you really are to the point of everything!

I am close to Europe, I have spent a lot of time there. I have a lot of family in the Czech Republic (and some in England) and I have spent a lot of time in Europe. Not just in the Czech Republic but many countries. I feel close to Europe. For it not my (U.S.) family, I would have lived there for a few years.
I know Europe because I have been there quite a bit. I love the freedom of Europe. I love to see bus drivers smoke next to the ‘No Smoking’ signs.
The beer is at least interesting if not great especially in little towns.
The first time I saw the Milky Way Galaxy was in a tiny town in the backwoods of Europe. I looked up and I thought it was clouds, then I realized it lit up the ground, I was facinated!
I love that I can go anywhere without a car. I love the history. It’s all a part of me.

People there mind their own business there and don’t worry so much about what one does. I love that nobody judges you. They love my stories over a whiskey or beer, but they don’t judge me as a person.

I hope to catch up with you in other threads where we can speak more freely and you can tell me more about your country.
Greece is a place I always wanted to go, but never made it. So much history, so much beauty, I hope to go one day.
I will talk to you later. Hit me up anytime.
