BLM Destroying Stores vs Dumping Tea Into the Harbour?

Arent these both yhe exact same thing? Destruction of private property over politics? Do people in here who oppose BLM/ANTIFA destruction of property also denounce the boston tea party?

It seems contradictory to lionize one and hate ghe other. I think both were criminals who should of faced harsh prison terms.

Uh, the Tea Party participants could have faced serious consequences had they been caught. The BLM protestors were allowed to get away with it. Which group showed true bravery?

Also, are these businesses the ā€œenemy?ā€ What exactly is the point other than looting, i.e. free shit, and a display of no impulse control or respect for oneā€™s own neighborhood. You know, the place where they live, not the ā€œenemyā€.

I should also add you need to stop spamming these types of threads. It only makes you look more like the troll some already believe you to be.

The colonists were still considered British citizens at the time of the tea party, and were legally entitled to receive certain fundamental rights under the English constitution, which they were denied. They also threw a commensurate amount of tea in to the bay to match the unique and unconstitutional tax levied on them, per the aforementioned constitution. Aside from the tea sending a profitability message in direct proportion to an illegal tax, the only personal property they destroyed were padlocks on the ship storeroomsā€¦ and they replaced them the next day.

The George Floyd riots indiscriminately destroyed both public and private property, injured and killed bystanders, looted and committed other opportunistic crimes during events that originally transpired over a piece of shit resisting arrest after committing a crime against another individual citizen.

So you have a measured and calculated response sending a message to a specific Govā€™t audience in direct proportion to the initial damage done vs selfish violence and a gibs me dat attitude levied at literally anyone or anything in the red zone for no real reason.

To continue, Chauvin went through due process and went to jail and the asshat rioters were given free passes and even compensation in some cases. On the other hand, the British sent the most powerful military on the planet at the time to respond instead of just correcting the wrong.

This is not a good topic to play victim with at all. Or would you prefer the US Military shows up and massacres everyone at the next black led riot to stay matchy matchy next time?

No.

Motives matter. Taxation without representation is not flat screen tvā€™s, and all of the booze & cigarettes you can fit in a shopping cart.

No one with two brain cells is buying the bullshit that walking into your favorite retailer and stealing everything you want is reparations.

Both are violent destruction of private propert no? Seems odd to defend one and villanize the other no?

ā€œRaiding Bin Ladenā€™s compound and killing everyone inside while stealing electronics and records is a violent destruction of private property, so is breaking in to a random home, killing the homeowners and stealing electronics and valuables. So really, murderous home invaders are American heroes right? Same thing as Seal Team 6!ā€

Am I playing the broken plow game correctly?

One resulted in a nation that has freedoms many others today donā€™t even have. The other resulted inā€¦?

A number of potentially sick album covers like this one.

Because you like getting fisted??

So ends justify the means? If a nation rapes 20,000 women if it is guaranteed to result in American democracy do you support those rapes? That is the philosophical argument you are employing as an ad hoc rationalization for something you condemn BLM for. Try debating in good faith lol.

So BLM rioters are thd moral equivalent of navy seals? I believe it was a legally sanctioned raid. Was dumping the private property into yhe harbour legal? Do you support crime?

I know that youā€™re angling to find a way to say Iā€™m racist and hypocritical but I donā€™t care.

I know myself well enough to not care what other people think.

And you are still ignoring motive.

This isnā€™t what happened though. Why are you ignoring context?

Go back and read my post describing differences and focus on context.

Stop playing dumb, this is why nobody listens to people with your point of view.

If you want to play dumb anyways, winners write history. Colonists picked a fight and won. Go ahead and try that in a small town. I bet you wonā€™t make it very far down the road.

But in reality, your analogy is terrible and doesnā€™t match at all.

Trash pandas.
