My Weak Deadlift

Dude, you sound like a fucking child.

I would stop being so cocky. My 148# wife has posted a higher squat and bench than you and her pull isn’t that far behind yours. In fact, if you stall out she just may pass you up.

Not to mention we have teen (17-18)athletes at your weight and strength level.

We have all had lifts passed that shouldn’t have, so what is your point?

If you ever plan to lift anywhere other than locally or WABDLA, you better get it figured out.

It also tells me you are not using your glutes to their full potential but I am sure you don’t care about that either.

Take it down a notch, slugger.

Um, I just asked a simple question…

I want to see how much stronger you all are than me.

I think I’m doing ok b/c I’ve only been lifting for 2 years.

Just because someone isn’t as strong as you doesn’t mean you know it all. Look at Louie Simmons, Chuck V out squats him. But who taught Chuck how to squat??

For the record, my DL is 430lb and squat is 410lb. Both in jsut a belt amd in competition @ 19 and 200lbs.

I seriously started training the squat in december of 05’, so I’m fairly new at it. Squatting 355 (260ish raw) in my Inzer, I’m getting a nice ~100 lbs carryover from it.

Haven’t tested my Metal Viking yet, but I’m hoping to get a huge carryover from it.

Don’t want to sound like a dick but it’s situations like this that give gear in powerlifting a bad name. You’re getting almost 100lbs extra outta your suit (40ish%??). I honestly think people have no business in a gear til they hit at least 400/300/400.

If I get 40% outta my Metal when it arrives then I should be hitting almost 600lbs. That seems a bit ridiculous.

your cute!

Gear is gear.

Don’t be scared to use it, it’s there for everyone to use.

RAW federations are out there for you to compete in if you are so against gear; you have to keep in mind that I am also 70 lbs lighter than you.

How many 132ers can do a 400/300/400 raw? I’d say less than 5-10 people in the world.

Besides, I’ve done 405x1x3 DL raw.

The suit doesn’t help too much for the deadlift.

I’m not scared of gear. I plan to embrace it. I’m just saying that using it so early might impact later progress.

As for having an exceptional DL, congrats.

That’s why you cycle in raw/geared cycles (leading up to a meet).

You can’t get better in the gear unless you are strong raw, and conversely you can’t get better in the gear unless you know the groove and how to use it.
