OK guys, not to much new. I made it back in record time. Drove nonstop through the flooded midwest.
As for mom. She was moved out of ICU thursday and was up and walking around. Allready bored as hell. She should be out in no time. They are just holding her to make sure all is good, and she still has a bit of a head ache and such.
Looks like it is all good so far though. Her speech and such had instant recovery on removal of the tumors. Left hand is still a bit weird but could be due to swelling still, and hey nothing we cant work on.
She says “HELLO T-NATION,” and thank you everybody." as do I.
Phill, that’s great that your mom is doing so well. Your attitudes/approach throughout this ordeal are extremely inspiring. I wish your family nothing but the best.
She is still up and wlking but doing it better. Said she was walking with a wide stance to keep balance. Now it is narrowing. They are talking home this afternoon or in the morning.
Thats the news so far. That and she has begun bitching at them about the food they serve people. LOL I love it.
So now it is all about getting a bit better, and seeing what comes next hopefully she will be up for a visit and some hard work, and fun of course here shortly.
LOL, I am booking a flight for mom. She got the OK to come for a few week visit. So I will hold out a real update till I can see things for myself.
All I am aware of is she is doing good. Has some probs with balance and such now from the surgery and some from the meds having a side of making you a little dizzy. Nothing we cant work through.
So I am a little excited. Should be cool. Things have settled here a bit. Started to resemble a life again. Getting back in the swing of the grad school thing and such. Now I will be able to drag mom around to classes and see the sites.
Only thing left for me will be to get some small type of social life. LOL
But I guess that will come in time. Most of my attention now will be on getting mom back to where we left off, helping her keep her head up, and have some fun while she visits.
Well there are bigger thing then the Inauguration Parade and Balls to follow going on in D.C. this evening. In less than 7hrs I will be picking mom up at the airport.
Cant wait and she is VERY excited. I’ll let you all know how things are as I find out. Either way we are 4 sure going to have a great time and tackle Anything that comes are way.
Well she has arrived and I got her somewhat settled in, gave her some hot cocoa, and now she is sleepin like a babe.
Was a stressful day for her. She was VERY happy to be here and for it to be over.
Looks good. Some mobility issues sure, but nothing we are not going to tackle like I said, the main problem being that she twisted her knee and it is hurting pretty bad.
Going to just take it easy and go to class and check out the sites and such for a bit and make that steady and slow progress.

Not much to report but figured I would tell you all she is doing great.
Had been complaining about not sleeping well and such before coming here. Well, that is now a NON-issue. She has slept 14+ hrs a night the last two nights. That and I am LOADING her with GOOD food.
Weather has kind of hampered any outside activity so we are just chillin round the house and such. Did get out a few times just for sanity’s sake. LOL
The real fun will begin tuesday when I bring her to class for the first time. Should be interesting seeing mom subject to a graduate level drawing class. Some great conversation I imagine.

Well guess I lied no regular updates but will throw a quick one out here, as well as a Happy V-Day to all.
Sent mom back home sat morn. Over the three weeks we made AWESOME progress. The last week we were able to lose the walker she was having to use from falling down. She was loving classes. LOL That and getting all kinds of rest and just doing fun stuff in general. I guess as much as we could.
She was consistantly sleeping 12hrs plus a night and I was feeding her WELL. She put back on five lbs or so and just lookin GREAT moving Much better and such.
After 1 dat gone she allready called saying she is ready to be back NOW!! She is Bored as hell.
So she has a doc appnt. and then a few things to do. I am betting she will be back in 2 weeks or less.
Probably good in the long run that we get a break befor we are driving one another nutty. This next visit should be longer and as long as she doesnt over do it while back home , then a little more advancing when she gets back here we will get a chance to get out and get to a few places deserving of Picks.
One planned outing is my bros show here in March. Also might have to get some sort of D.C area T-Meeting on a weekend or something. I was thinking it’d be AWESOME to have everyone bring some type of equipment and do some weird strongman training some weekend down on the Mall. I’d love to see the looks we recieved doing farmers walks, tug of war etc… and such from all the skinny fat cardio freaks and tree huggers. LOL
Who knows if anyone from the area reads this and is interested give me a PM, or post here and we can get something planned.
Thanks has been a pain at times, but well worth it… I am becoming a pro at making measls for two people. LOL That and it’s kinda fun dragging mom to my classes, seeing her reaction of veiwing models and such.
It will be a nice short little brerak I suppose and will have the both of us rarin to go when she returns shortly.
She knows you all are behind her and I am slowly getting her back on thew comp. hopefullly soon I will get her on here.
As for my Avatars. Yes. That is some of my artwork.Both self portraits.Figured might as well take the chance to pimp my work a lil. The old one that still seems to pop up every once and agian is a silkscreen print from a few years back and the new oner is an Oil painting from just a few months ago.

Quick update while taking a meal break from my painting.
I was wrong on the time mom would be gone. After being gone just 4 days she called and wants to be back NOW!!! She bored. So it wont be two to three weeks she’ll be back monday morning for another three weeks.
She got the all clear at the Docs appointment and they took her off the meds so thats good. She’ll have to return for an MRI on the 14th of March and another little check up and then right back here so I can take her to catch my brothers first tour that is coming through here.
Quick update. I just picked her up and she is looking AWESOME. even stair are nearly no problem now.

Mom is going home again today for a check up MRI and visit. Then will come right back here in a week to keep making good progress having fun and to see my Bro’s tour when it comes through.
She is getting nervous with this check up coming, Just wants good news of course. Also we are both rightly getting a little nervous with May quickly approaching. The last 2 mays have brouth the news of cancer, we just want to make it through this one clean. If not we aint gonna give up. Hell no. keep on keepin on but damn it’d be nice to have a little break.
Progress is going nice but slow at times. We are now walking around A lot more and unassistd. This past week went to the White House and just whwere ever her little tuckus wanted as I was on spring break and wanted to show her a good time befor she left for a week. It’ll be better once the weather get nice. it hampered our progress some, as did her general down feeling with this MRI/Checkup coming.
All in all doing greatv though and haver High hopes for a clean bill from the doc.
