We have taken the next step toward home. She has been moved out of critical care to her own regular room. Was standing without much needed assistance.
Still waiting for the doctor to give us new news.

I’m terribly sorry to hear about this news man. you’re an exceptionally strong guy for being able to help your girl endure and beat cancer now it’s time for you to be strong again and fight with your mom to beat this hell. Never stop fighting until the fight is done. Keep yourself together and think positive like how your girl beat everything, just like your mom is going to do aswell.

Not much new to report all. I hit a wall yesterday and had to get some sleep. All the sudden I just couldnt go anymore and came home and crashed hard. I got 8 hrs and feel much better though.
I am headed to the hospital now and will hopefully have some more great news next time I check in.

Well, nothing to exciting to report. She is doing good and told me to “thank everyone for being behind her, and for all your prayers and thoughts.”
Food was a little better this morning. Not as much junk.
We keep getting mixed messages about an expected date on her getting to go home. Seems that every visitor has a different story. The varied time frame is from Today- sometime late next week. She is commited to not having to saty a whole week though. She said she wil have to prove herself to someone so that doesnt happen.

Well she is up roaming the halls. Walking like a champ. Got a shower. Some better food. Seems to have her balance and such all restored for the most part. The doc took the tube out of her head.
What else???
She is still worried about how much LBM she has lost over the week.
Generally high spirited and doing what she can to get released. She is supposed to ring the nurse when she goes to the bathroom instead she has started just getting up and going then telling them when they come in the next time. Dropping little hint to get her the heck outta there.
Now she is trying to force me to go home this weekend. She doesnt want me to stay another week with her in this shape. She would rather me come back in July or something when she is doing better and we could spend time at home. I am not sure as to what I will do yet. Probably buck up and go back to D.C. so as to not get her angered.

Well, she is no longer trying to make me go home, she made me go home. She kicked me out of the hospital to go take care of the animals (let them in and out and such) and to book a flight home. I leave sat. afternoon.
It sucks but I can see her reasoning. She just wants me to go home tie up the few loose ends I have, that will only really take a couple days. Then relax and get my mind clear and such. Get some new art done stuff like that. In the mean time she can heal up and come July or so come back for a week when we can spend some QT together when she is more mobile. Even if just around the house.
They are talking not starting the radiation till mid may, but it is only supposed to effect the cancer and nothing else.
I will be on call of course if anything comes up in the mean time, but I dont forsee that. FINGERS CROSSED.
She did a bunch more laps walking this afternoon. The only time she has any problem is when they come in and ask if she want to walk around she get so damn excited she almost jumps out of bed and gets a little dizzy. If we get her to slow down getting up the there is no prob… Once she is up and going there is no stopping her. Walks around like nothing is wrong. Trys to get old men to race her and such. Even tried to talk the nurse into snatching some package from some lady. quite the little prankster.
Hopefully she will get to bed early tonight because she is going to get an early wake up call from me. Make me leave so darn early and I am going to be up there well befor the birds chirp to get in every minute I can. She will want that to though. She doesnt really want me to go, just knows it will be better in the long run. It’ll be an emotional day of course.
Well I will let you all know any advancements. Last news is a day or two befor coming home.

I forgot one more bit of interesting news I thought people might like to know.
Yopu know all the new low carb candy and crap that is out and supposed to have minimal impact on your blood sugar. 1 impact carb crap, loaded with sugar alcohols. B.S…
Anyway my dad bought her some of these russel stover mints that are supposed to have 1 gram of sugar and be super low carb and all that. Loaded with sugar alcohols of course.
Well they are tracking her blood sugar while in there. They tested her and she was @ 140. Then she ate 1 single B.S. sugar free crap mint. Just minutes after she finished it they tested her blood sugar again. She had nothing else but some water that would have messed with the test. Her blood sugar was up to 179. 39 points from one so called sugar free mint.
I was telling them that stuff is all hype. They were floored. I was actually a little also. I didnt figure it would move that much.

I’m so glad to hear that your mom is doing so well so soon after surgery. She’s a tough cookie. If they’re not going to start the radiation for a while, she’ll have her strength back and she’ll be fully prepared to fight that battle too. Now you get yourself back to DC and do the things you need to do and by July you’ll be able to spend real quality time with her. Have a safe trip home and best wishes to your mom.

I’m getting into this one late. My thoughts are with you. Hang in there, guy…
Well this is going to be quick.
Just wanted all to know I made it back to D.c. ok. Had quite the enmotional send off with mom.
I only got about 4 hrs sleep before I went up and slipped undetected into her room and sat there for several hrs. When she woke we got a good 4 hrs of alone time then I was off.
She was doing well. They took some badages off, and are tapering down then off the meds over the next 2 days.
Her appointment for consultation about the upcoming radiation is May 18th.
I will talk to her in the AM and probably several time everyday for sometime now.
I will keep you all aware of any big changes. Hopefully all GOOD!!!
I must sleep now. I will get back to my regular attempts at solid contributions to the forumn hopefully tomarrow.

Oh shit, Phill, you must?ve being having some horrible time this last few days.
I feel so bad not knowing about this before, its being 6 days and its not until now that I read this.
Your mother is very strong woman Phill, I really admire her, I hope it all turns to come out fine.

A quick update, I will start with the good news. The only news on mom.
SHE GOES HOME IN THE AM!!!
She is excited.
O.k. now the bad.
Just when nothing else could go wrong. I will make this as short as possible and skip some details.
I wake up go to check email and then tmag while eating bFast. Well comp crashed. Yup, it is done. Well the hard drive atleast from what it looks like. He is going to try and save some info. But outlook not good. My whole life gone. Including all my training info. and comparison pics for ever. Except pic from this morning. I hadnt down loaded them yet.
It is out of my hand so I will probably be starting fresh I guess.
I got pissed and went out just now and spent some money I dont have and am back online though. Bought a laptop. I have needed one for a while. My PC will be done in 4-5 days.
So with everything coming down around me at once I finally said screw it. I just have to relax and take it one thing at a time.
So as of the morning I am starting my M1T cycle as planned. I had been looking forward to this and I think it will be a good way to releive some built up stress. So I am going to slowly work through all this crap, and concentrate on getting freaky HUGE!!!

Mom is a little upset. She asked the doc this afternoon about DL’s and Squats. He told her she better hold off on those for a while. LOL. She was wanting to get home and get at it. He said probably better let your brain take it easy on the stress for a while.
So she is going to do some light step ups and such for now on lower body. Possibly some iso. movements. Then concentrate more on her upper body she said. I wish I was there someone probably needs to be holding her back for a little while.
Thats about it for now, couldnt talk long she had visitors.

No other new news as far as I know.

Well she is at home and enjoying her freedom. A little loopy though do to all the meds they have her on.
She is allready doing some upper body stuff from what she said. Not sure what.
Has to see the doc every other day.
I think they are shaving the rest of her head today. For some reason they left a 4" x 4" patch. Looked`a little silly. But they wouldnt shave it at the hospital.
Not sure but I expect not much in the way of big news untill the 18th when she meets the radiologist. Until then just a matter of getting as well as possible.
Ill keep the updates up on anything big, or really good.
