I’ve been fighting with a vendor trying to teach their team how to code/think… Keep getting weird ass, “oh look over there”, distractions, and frankly arrogant arguments… Meanwhile they keep breaking the system…
Just before that work out the executives let me know they’re backing me up on this and are going to go “Neutron Jack” on them… I think one of the guys who shows promise will survive, but not if their management resists…
So I’m torn, most on the team shouldn’t be coding, certainly at this level and billable and we can’t afford their screw ups… But there will be a bunch of people, uh, hitting the streets… And it is cold out there…
During the boom times, I had no troubles pulling the trigger. Usually people will bounce and be better for it, but these times seem quite different…

This is just my opinion, for what it’s worth: Given the market conditions - it’s not the time for them to be screwing around like they are. It’s a business decision and as part of the business they need to stop letting their egos drive their actions. You may be pulling the trigger, but it sounds like they are forcing you to fire.
It’s Anderson Consulting, oops Accenture…
You know, kid’s out of college re-inventing square wheels…
I teach anyone who’ll listen, prefer those that question…
They’ve got the noobie arrogance… “THIS system is different, it’s complex”…
If I had a dollar for every time I heard this…
Anyway, trigger is pulled, just have to wait to see if and how hard it hits…
I have the same ‘issues’ in television, crunched economy- ‘maveric’ types wanting to reinvent the wheel for a dollar or no budget, yet manage to completely blow the budget over and over and over.
go figure.
Must be great lifting with your son. Enjoy those days, they don’t last very long.
Some good deadlifting. I’m going to start using straps and my lifts are lower than yours. I get so much grip work that I think its effecting my DL’s.
He’s 13, 5’6 150… He does Jujitsu, he’s glad he lost another 7… He maintained or improved his strength!! Wonders of youth… He’ll be about 6’ full out, but he’s a got a bigger frame then I.
It is cool lifting with him. He’s doing rather well.
Getting used to straps. I don’t think it will hurt my grip progression all that, mostly sparing them for later lifts…
I’ve lost a lot on most lifts (maxes and volume work, 20 dl and 40 on bench but MP is up) and lost ten pounds(think it is due to Doc playing with TRT), getting new Doc.
