My Baby Got Sauce

For youtube, just paste the link into your post. When your post goes through it will show as the actual video. The site’s video uploader thing tends to be a bit more finicky. Sometimes they load, sometimes they don’t.

I got my suit from this site: http://www.dollswimwear.com/swimwear/bikinis and this one has a huge selection too Chynna Dolls | Women's Swimwear & Bikinis | Designer Swimsuits They appear to essentially be the same company, but there are different collections of suits on each site. Not really sure how that works. There are others and if you google “scrunch butt bikini” I think they will come up.

Feel free to spill it about the ex bf. If its affecting your training or how you’re feeling in general, its probably worth venting about here.

See if this works?

Your form looks impeccable to me.

Aren’t you the cutest thing…gosh, I love me the videos. And with such a perfect back arch on those DLs. I will be the first to tell you to put some more weight on that bar!

Great deadlifts. My advice is to put weight on the bar, but not at the expence of your form. If you have good form, you will not sustain and injury, so there is no reason to be afraid of the weight. I know many will think otherwise, but I’m of the school of thought that form shouldn’t be comprimised until you’re pretty strong and are going for a max lift.

My program is 3 years too. However, our internships start towards the end of our second year and we still have some specialized upper level elective classes in our third year. I’m seriously beside myself with excitement to start. Do you already know what you will specialize in?

It worked! I am inexplicably excited about that! Thanks everyone for the comments on form. I feel that my eyes are going to be opened because I train primarily alone and am not quite sure how form is on a lot of things. I definitely will add some weight on there next week though. I’m with sbmart–I’ll add weight until form starts to go-but I suppose I am being unnecessarily cautious atm.

Buckeye-thanks for the help all around. I’m excited for the suit sites…I get in way too much trouble shopping the internet…a year into not working full time and I still haven’t adjusted my shopping level to my income level. Oops.

Sbmart: You should be excited!! Being on the right path toward what you want to do is such a good feeling…especially to do a job that in my opinion is the best ever. (PT nerd, ftw!) The first year was really tough though…lots of ups and downs–but you make it through it. I can’t wait to hear how you like it and how you’re getting along with it. From what I’ve read in your log it sounds like you already know what you’re talking about, so I suspect it will be a breeze for you. And I suppose we do have a couple short clinicals interspersed-I’ll have a 4 week one at the end of this semester and we had 2 weeks midway through year 1.

And while I’m on a roll…

I was wondering if the name for your log was G-Love inspired. Ha!

And since you’re a self-proclaimed PT nerd have you ever seen or had the pleasure of using the ATM2?

http://backproject.com/atm_concept/ov_clinician_info.html

Very cool. Amazingly simple. Rewarding to use. And like other stuff around our office… looks like a torture device!!!

Seriously, we’ve had a wall-mount for over 4 years which we lovingly refer to as “the babysitter.” Used it a couple of times yesterday as a modality after adjustment and it works like a fucking charm for that niggly shit that hangs on after adjustment, manual therapy, decompression therapy, etc.

Oh, and I like your hex-DL vid. You are a cutie! Nice lifting!

Very nice deadlifts.

yeah nice deadlifts! i think i was a bit too cautious for a time, too, because i wasn’t sure if my form was good or what… then when i got some feedback that things were looking alright i got the confidence to put the weights up. hopefully that will happen for you, too. those looked good! put the weight up!

you are a cutie x2.
Sbmart: So awesome you’ll be starting in the fall! I was 27 when I started, and a friend of mine was 32, so don’t think you’re alone! I’m likely biased, however I think being “older” has it’s advantages, being able to handle stress and keep things in perspective being two of the big ones.
I was just talking to a friend the other day about enjoying getting older. I wouldn’t get rid of my wrinkles at the expensive of wisdom and true self confidence for anything. I’m glad to hear that there are other people getting into the field at a more seasoned age!

When did you start and how long is your program, if you don’t mind me asking?
I’ll be 32 this year and only just beginning! I’m considering PT as well. I’ve got all the gen ed stuff done, just need to get into a program!

oh and you look GREAT!!!

strong presses too!!! wow!

just dropping in to say a late Welcome! haven’t had a chance to check out your vids, but will shortly.

Glad you decided to keep a log. I look forward to following.

Veggie: Never heard of the ATM2 but it looks pretty cool! I’ve never even seen it in a clinic that I’ve worked in so it must be super high tech?! I tried looking but I couldn’t find it, are you a PT? Or is it a chiro? Oh and yes, G Love! I love him and his special sauce

Arachne: Thanks!

Alexus: I will use you as my inspiration then and throw some weights on there. Thanks!

Masch: You ought to try it-I do straight bar too but I like hanging onto the sides. Makes me feel like if I had to pick up a really heavy suitcase, I could. (nerd)

MIM: The gen eds were the worst part for me! You should go for it. Of course I’m biased, but I think it’s the perfect job for anyone with interest in the human body and physical activity. And thanks for the lovin!

Lilpower: Hi! Thanks for stopping in. I was just checking out your log and was going to comment on your shoulder surgery. You have my best wishes and I am really interested to hear how things go for you!

Nadia: I’m glad too. Hi!!

**I broke my wrist in January and still (STILL!) don’t have full range back, so I feel like I’m not quite holding the bar right for these. 135 wasn’t so bad on the legs, but I felt like if I added any more my back would start to round.

Ended with a shit ton of foam rolling. I am begging for an injury with how tight my ITB are so it is my goal to roll these every freaking day.

Here’s a video of the front squats. I noticed my left heel is starting to pop up, which I never noticed before. Also, probably wouldn’t hurt to keep my elbows up a bit more? The main interest of the video, however, is that, as luck would have it, my gym crush makes an appearance in the background. He has THE prettiest front squats. swoon

ya, the gen ed stuff is a big biotch.

Unfortunately I have to re-take AnP+labs :frowning:
Apparently there only good for 5 years…damnit.
But nowadays you can take them online?? It would be easier for me actually, but I don’t see how it work.

But that’s what I’m signing up for this fall. I agree and that’s why PT is appealing to me. Are you going for Therapist or Assistant?

Strong training!!

Oh your front squats are lookin GOOD! yours are pretty too!!!

your gym crush, the guy in the red to the right of you??

awwww
