My 22 Week Stats

Hey all,

I weighed in yesterday and am happy to say I have hit my preliminary goal in just 22 weeks, I have never felt better!

Age 36(turned in May)
Height: 6’1.5"
Weight: February 14th - 326
July 25th - 226
Pants: February 14th - 44(tight)
July 25th - 36(falling off)

T-folks,

I have been training my arse off, I get up at 4:40 every morning and take my HOT-ROX and M, I go to the gym around 5:15 and put in 60-90 minutes of hard training, right now I am doing weights only and getting in a good 1-3 miles of walking a day(I enjoy the peace of walking as I work 70+ hours a week and have 5 kids).

I am not sure how much more actual weight I want to lose, I am looking at 5-10 more pounds for now and then will prove to myself I can keep it off this time. After a year of keeping it off, I plan to have my extra skin(not too bad actually) removed.

I want to thank the folks on these forums and MOST OF ALL the T-Nation contributors, I study each and every article and take what works best for me. Christian’s articles have been most useful as of late.

I have two weeks left on this 12 week program, who knows what I could do?

That is amazing. Not just the losing the 100 pounds, but the dedication it takes to work 70 hour weeks, raise 5 kids, and still have the motivation to hit the gym everyday.

If there’s anyone reading this that thinks they have an excuse for not doing what you have to do to get where you want to be - you have nothing.

Excellent job. Excellent.

Incredible progress! You’re a wonderful example of hard work and dedication for your kids.

Great job!

May I ask what triggered the desire to change?

I agree…working those hours and coming home, spending time with the kids and wifey, getting to sleep and waking up that earyl!!! Thats amazing!!! Outstanding Job!!!

Thanks everyone for the kind words! I have to say it is nice to hear from you versus all the people who doubted me at work, who, by the way, all want to do what I did, but, when I tell them, they just shrug their shoulders and say no way. I have lost weight before(I felt like the FFB article was actually written for me), but, never at this rate with the dedication. I know I shouldn’t and won’t, but I am enjoying lifting so much, I wish I could do it all day long!

Again, thanks for the kind words all!

It had to be internal more than anything, I hit rock bottom in terms of how I felt about myself. Just looking at my wife and kids(ages 10,8,5,3 and 1) also gave me motivation. How am I supposed to be a role model for my kids when I had such low Self Esteem and lived like a pig. This has opened my eyes to what is really important, I am currently looking to downsize my job and do something that allows me to help others and spend more time at home. The funny thing is, my kids can’t keep up with me now!
