Now that I am nearly 3 years back into lifting and have put on some new muscle mass I have noticed that I get twitches in places that I never had twitches before. For instance as I sit here typing this my left lat is twitching. Is this common? Anybody else had this happen? What is causing it?
In the past, I had muscle twitches while trying to sleep. Turned out protein intake was way down.
Every now and then, will have a bit of a twitch, but it goes away.
Spasms - maybe some chemical inbalance, maybe CNS is confused and can’t stop tensing after a hard gym session. If the latter, practice tensing the muscle hard, then relax. Tense, then relax. Pay close attention to what’s happening. It retrains CNS on how to contract muscles. If that’s the problem.
