Muscle Humour

From Harry Paschall, a writer and cartoonist for the old Strength and Health magazine in the 1940s and early '50s.

I don’t know any muscle humour jokes, but I’ll let Arnold take care of this.

Now, even though I’m learning German, I have no idea what he spoke, but must have been pretty hilarious to make Franco rest 305 pounds on his chest and laugh.[/quote]

He says “das ist genug fuer heute” or thats enough for today.
in a bit of a cocky way

I’m betting that was a nod to Bob Peoples (above). He deadlifted 700-something pounds while weighing around 180 and was a popular lifter in the '30s and '40s.

Ah I see.

But I’ve noticed that some Dead Lifters do have quite long arms. Mine look like tentacles. And I Deadlift a lot.

There must be an explanation to this. I’m sure the stretching happens during the lockout.

Measure your height then the lengh of your arms tip to tip when spread open. Should be similar in measurement, if not you are a octopus.

Hahahaha!!

Will do, sir! Will do!

Also known as an “ape index”. Theoretically you are as long tip to tip as you are tall. +3 Ape index here ; )

LOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

I started working out with a ghost recently. He can’t spot the bar, he just jumps out of a closet on the final rep and says “It’s all WHOOOOOOOO!”

Yes PB Andy, those groaners get worse…

I’m just glad for no silly snatch jokes.

Here’s a great one by Shel Silverstein:

Nancy Bates can lift those weights
As well as any feller.
If you don’t think it’s ladylike,
Then you go up and tell her![/i][/b]

I’m 5’11" on a good day but I have a 77" reach (6’5") everyone on my Mom’s side is like that, arms look too long for their bodies.

Boxing Champ Sonny Liston was 6’1" with an 84" reach!
