Yes, someone posted it previously. And it’s pics like this that confirm what I had stated earlier… that he looks phenomenal BEFORE the show, but somehow less so on the day of the show.

Thats why, it may seem like such a noob of a suggestion, but what competitors would look like under the light without any spray tan on… I dunno because two - three days before the show they look worlds apart different then on stage, less of a wow factor type of thing when they step on the stage itself. I dunno, food for thought lol

Skin color and lighting have a lot to do with how forms show volume. Bodybuilding stage lighting is usually from above and to the front. It’s optimal for casting shadows downward, but it’s a one-dimensional representation of volume. If there were a secondary light or 2 (off to the extreme sides, and possibly of a different color hue) they’d cast wonderful reflected light onto some of the shadow areas of the physique and really round out the volumes of the muscles.
This is where a good lighting technician from the theater district (a’la Broadway) would be a welcome change.
Additionally, guys at this level rely on so much manipulation the last few days leading up to the show, that their physiques literally can appear different as prejudging wears on.
I wish I could find the interview where Kai says he is 279. I doubt he’ll ever get the Mr.O, but Kai is the man. He is a squat master as well. Just watch his form, and tell me if it doesn’t help yours.
Regardless of the fact Jay Cutler is one of the best bodybuilders to ever live. I’m glad this is the new look of bodybuilding. Judging criteria be damned those arms just look awesome. Just like Arnold and Larry Scott. the Olympia is a gun show again.
The Sheru Classic is a new show, it’s over in India. normally guys, top guys, would be starting an off-season now. some would be off until the Arnold Classic in May others would sit out and build until the next olympia. small shows happen throughout the year and lower tier guys compete to pick up the 10-15k first prize pay checks, the toll of dieting for a show and peaking multiple times in a year keeps most big names from doing these smaller shows. also, sponsers like blankitty blank and blank blank pay their guys well so they can afford to not compete too often.
The Sheru classic has a first prize of 150k so the big names are doing it! the Sheru is now the #2 show after the Olympia, with the Arnold classic being the 3rd biggest show in terms of payout.

Thanks for the info. So I assume Heath, Cutler, Kai etc. will all be at the Sheru?
Oh yeah,… A bunch of guys committed before the Olympia, so I’m sure there’s a little $ being spread around…
I saw some video footage of the plan ride and at the airport in Mumbai,… saw Kai sketching from the famous Bridgeman life drawing books (I’ve done the same on plans myself! -lol)
Sheru classic has a total cash prize of 150k$ if im not mistaken, not the cash prize for top guy, making it the 3rd biggest after the Arnold and the O. I wrote top guy had a cash prize of 150k in the sheru classic thread, that was a mistake
The big plus for these guys is they can get a qualifying spot for next year’s O and have a full offseason year !
Idk if the new rule change affects the Sheru classic, i think not. If im right, this means top3 qualify
Im at work now, ill post pics in the sheru thread later
Cutler looks good in the pics next to phil, we’ll see
