Mr. Olympia 2011

I wannne see Kovacs… I know he never made it big but the guy was freaking huge… 400lbs with abs in no joke… sadly his career was… By the way did it ever feel like this guy was being hyped up a bit too much???

going by those who have qualified

-marvin ward(it’s sad that he’s only 5’2, if he was half a foot taller he would be mr olympia)
-kevin english(not a fan of his contest physique but seeing a recent guestposing it’s amazing how better he looks when he doesn’t have to cut down)
-lionel beyeke(spelling? I just want to see if his conditioning was a fluke at the ny pro)
-dennis wolf(saw him compete at the aussie grand prix, it’s just amazing how wide he is and how his back pops with muscle when he hits a rear double bi)

it’s still early in the season though and there is plenty of time for others to qualify

Have you ever seen what his 400 lbs with abs looked like onstage?

Just awful - the guy had the worst structure of all time.

I was always under the the impression Kovacs caused that on himself. His structure and genetics were a bit off, but he looked like a decent bodybuilder none the less, then at 2004 he fucked it up.

Does anyone knows if Markus Ruehl will be making a come back ? I’d love to see guys like him and Lee Priest at the stage.

Lee wont be back on an ifbb stage anytime soon, he is planning on competing in nabba.

Rhuls is one ugly synthol using mofo… I dont mind not seeing him… + he looks ugly.

Oh by the way, did I say Cutler was gonna win once again ? If not… here goes…

Cutler will win. As long as he stay motivated about winning he’ll win, I believe.

Please don’t let Kai mess up his conditioning this year…

Kovacs F-ed up… But he was huge lol… kinda like Ruhl is huge but just freakin ugly sometimes

Yes - admittedly, he did look alright at first - I really don’t know exactly what the fuck he did to himself to wind up looking like that.

All I’ve ever heard about Kovacs, and this is kinda sad, is that he was really just the nicest, guy, and truly had a love of the sport. Unfortunately, it seems the sport didn’t really love him back when you look at how he fared contest wise, combined with how he was basically used and spit out by the supplement company that seemed to shove him everyone’s throat in their ads.

it’s still early in the season though and there is plenty of time for others to qualify
To me, the ‘lighter’ class is going to be more interesting to watch since they increased the weight limit to 212…I want to see how competitors will respond to the added cushion they have

I agree. Especially how 10 extra lbs looks on a short man. David Henry has been one of my top 5 faves for a while now.

Just so people are aware, Dave Henry will not be competing this year due to his primary job obligations.

I’m more interested to see what eduardo correa looks like at 212, I’m also to see which open competitors will compete in the 212 division.

thoughts on 202?
I’ve been way out of the loop being overseas. Any news on how Flex Lewis is looking for the 202’s? Always been a big fan of his, and last I heard he was trying to bring up his legs to prepare for the Olympia as of last year. He’s got a lot of muscle for such a short guy, but Kevin English always looks full as hell.

Lewis competed recently and looked to have put on a considerable amount of size since last year. Gonna be a good showing. I know Corea barely made weight last year, English is usually 50+ lbs above the limit, and now Flex is looking thicker than hell… let’s get it on! -lol
