Mr. Olympia 2011

btw Branch has beat Kai the last two Olympias

Again, I’m not trashing Branch, I’m a big fan, but you gotta admit that his Arnold win wasn’t exactly a hard fight.

^I agree it wasn’t the best lineup, but kai being there doesn’t necessarily take the title from him being that he beat Kai twice in a row at the Olympia.

My main point is that Branch has proven the '09 Olympiawas not a fluke. jwesus says he got “lucky” because Dex didnt show up in his best condition, etc. but he has gone and beat Dex every show since.

I am not a Kai fan.
But here he is recently with Phil Heath in a mock posedown.
Even in somewhat offseason shape and Kai coming off a contest…look at the size of Kai. He is dwarfing Phil in my opinion.

Phil has the nicer streamlined look though. I like his physique better.
But I have to give Kai his props.
Damn.

Wow kai kills heath in every pose lol the only thing heath has over him is his waist. Kai looking good with the new trainer might just be his time.

You cant compare these 2 with the video, IMO.

Kai coming off contest shape probably means a lot more “assistance” going on for him than an offseason Phil…

These guys grow while prepping for a contest…

Cutler will take it again… he is simply better than the best out there…

cough

you do realize when a body builder is offseason it doesn’t mean they are ‘on’, right? Phil grows into shows, Kai is just coming off the ny pro.

come contest day you can bet that it will be x1000 more competative.

that being said kai’s a beast.

I agree, It will be a completely different come the olympia. kai is just bigger than phil imo. I’m not a kai fan by any stretch but he looks a lot better this year than he has in the past couple.

Kai is larger overall, which is very hard to ignore,… still, Phil has something very pleasing (wish I could have thought of a different word -lol) about his ‘lines’ that just creates an amazing effect. Aside from his genetically narrow clavicles, his full muscle bellies, tiny joints, and proportions are just damn near perfect. Definitely going to be a good show this year.

Hey there, which movie is your avatar from? I thought I’d seen them all, I’ve never seen a Bheema like character like that…

Well said, and these are the exact reasons I’m such a huge Phil fan.

Some guys mentioned these guys grow into a show? I didn’t know that still happened. I remember Lee Haney describing it and how his calories at the start of the prep would be around 3000 but end around 4500 but I chalked it up to more steroid use during the prep and not so much during the off season. I figured the guys today were on tons all the time

Its not from a movie, its a photo of an old school Wrestling champion called the Great Gama… The guy was a legend but most people have no idea who he was… read more here The Great Gama - Wikipedia

Aesthetics, yes, Phil has it! better ‘flow’. But Kai’s muscles pop out like crazy, and his arms are insanely thick. Overall, I’d rather see someone unique as he is, win. Let the freak show be a freak show , lol.

Some grow into the show, some stay on heavy all year.

A guy like Jay walks around at maybe 265 and in good shape leanness wise and then walks on stage at 255-265 shredded, that’s growing into a show.

Jay actually hovers around 300 offseason.

EDIT: I believe 2009 olympia he weighed in at 271

I just hear Winklaar isn’t in this years show and is taking the year off?

And, other than debating over who will win…who are the “other guys” y’all are looking forward to seeing?

Kinda boring reading and discussing the same names every time when speaking about the O. There are incredible dudes that won’t contend for the top five…

And Mrs O

Do we have a lineup yet?
