Mr. Hammond, the phones are working...

Pixie: What da hell is a paloff press? I swear ya’ll know about so many excersises that I’ve never heard of. I must be out of the loop!!

Thanks 2Busy! It sure beats my typical pity party, that’s for sure, ha-ha.

Texican: AWW glad I could make your day! And did you know that cavity/sweet comment reminded me of an episode of sailor moon (i’m a nerd) so THAT just made MY day!

Kim: WELl that makes me feel better, thanks! I thought My gym was the odd man out, ha-ha. Maybe we’re all just the “kinda different” people in our gyms. We probably all stick out a little bit for different reasons and that’s why we all get along and post here together.

Everyone here gives me such good advice all the time, I wish I was a better advice giver. Maybe in a few years when I am HULK STRONG, I will have good advice to give. Right now ya’ll just gotta put up with my random compliments/comments, ha.

Deload bench

85 x 5
85 x 5
85 x 5
65 x 8

Some pull ups, lat pull down, TRIED FLOOR PRESS (YAY LOVE IT) few sets of 75lbs, some DB bench, bent over row:
65 x 8 for 3 sets

ALL EASY/no failure sets=excellent self control on my part.

I have decided one more rest day and I AM SO DONE with this deload
That was friday, saturday sunday and monday. I “slacked” SO MOMMMYYY (JIM) pleeeassse let me go back to hard heavy shit, mmkkaaay.

Here’s a random example of a palloff press. You can do them with cable machines or bands. Pretty much anything where you have to try to resist the rotational movement.

Nice vid pix thanks.

Then I submit this for more smiles!

Wish I knew how to remove pictures, but alas…[/quote]

You can just hit the report button and put in a little note asking the mods to delete the pictures. It’s the only way.

Spockie, your kid is very lucky to have a ma like you.

Way to keep the mental fortitude thru the deload.

& one last thing. Not every guy who posts in SAMA is a douche.

Hi Spock,
How old is your little guy? Mine are 9 and 10 and they still give some pretty great homemade cards.

And you are welcome in the O35 section anytime. We are in the back, by the meat and fish.

I think it’s really interesting that some people have so much trouble pushing themselves and then some people (you) have so much trouble not pushing too far.

Related, but I’m not calling you strange.

Patch: OMG I just realized I had a dream last night about your suggestion to let the mods know I wanted the picture removed. HAHA I TOTALLY HAVE NO LIFE. But I am also timid and I hate asking people to do stuff for me so I won’t bother bothering them with my desire to remove it…

Print: SO happy doggie pic is back for starters. And thanks, kiddo is lucky SOMETIMES, but he also as to put up with my obsessive vacuuming addiction and all my other obnoxious neurotic behaviours so it kinda balances out, HA.

Giterdone: Thanks for poppin’ in the ol’ log, here. My little guy is 5 and all of his cards totally melt my heart because he is just learning how to write his name and it makes me weeepy when I see his lil backwards G (his name is Gabe). And I will be upping my lurk in the O35 section, thanks!

Patch again (ha): YEAH, I have thought about that too, but i also have other areas of my life where I totally suck at pushing myself when other people are very gung ho. EX: I am a very lazy employee, but hopefully when i am done school and doing something that I am passionate about that will change because i am NOT a lazy student.

okkk exciting stuff now

3x5 Squat day, SO LONG DELOAD. Thank ya for yerr services, but now GTFO!

105 x 5
115 x 5
120 x 11 ← yAY! 11 for my 5!
115 x 9
105 x 12

=Death by squatting (the best kind of death, BTW)

Front squats
65 x 6
85 x 3
90 x 3
85 x 3
75 x 6
65 x uhh 8 or something
I am really working on trying to keep my form upright for these. Not going to go heavy until I am actually strong enough to stay upright. TILL THEn, it’s plug away with a lame weight!

I was a total volume whore today, and it felt awesome! SO i bascially did a million sets of everything on the following:
Back/hyper extensions (not sure if this is the same thing?)
Leg press
leg extension
calf raises

Walked home as fast as humanly possible so i could stuff my face.

Wowwweee, it feels good to be back!

Also random life tidbit: last night I had to go to a meeting at the cultural society for the Deaf for school and it was just the coolest experience ever. All the topics they were discussing and how they oraganized things. They are such a civilized group of people. I just love them all so much, and that says a lot because I’m a grumpy hermit freak, heh.

^You know what I think Spockie? I think w/all this heavy lifting, you’re starting to come out of your shell a bit. Keep wearing it, it looks good on you.

I’m a grumpy hermit freak too. Only child syndrome, I has it.
Good job on the squats. You did good.

Hi Spockie!

yeah, that’s it…just wanted to say Hi.

kaybainow!

First day back from Deload is one of the best feelings in the world!!!

Good job on those squats ya little hermit freak (said with the most affection I can cram into that statement) lol

I’m waiting patiently to see that 2x bw squat. I see it happening soon!!!

Hi Spock

I was lurking in Git’s log and I saw you mention chef Michael Smith. Chef at Home is one of my fav cooking shows. I’m a bigger fan of Good Eats though, that way I can get my food and geek on at the same time.

Way to tough out the deload too.
Lift, REST, eat, right?

Print: Thankee (as usual) Posting on these boards more has really helped me, I think. I am not a very social person in reality, but I do really enjoy talking about lifting and it’s nice to have a place to come to where I can babble on about reps and PR’s and everyone just “gets it”, ya know?

Cal: You know, I really don’t think there is anything wrong with bein’ hermitty. A lot of people my age have priorities that are farrr FARR different than mine. I have no desire to go to the bar or eat shitty food. I like stayin’ home and sitting around after a killer workout. Maybe I pre maturely left the club scene a little too early, BUT I suppose that’s what happens when ya get knocked up at 19, LOL!

HI EDGY!!

Texican: YES, first days post deload are effing amazing. It’s hard to explain really, the world just makes sense again, HA! 2X bodyweight squat I see maybe in 2013 sometime… Not sayin’ never, just sayin far away.

Charlie: YEAH I love chef at home. Micheal’s son (Gabriel) was actually where I got the idea for my kids name. I thought, wow, if my kid is HALF as cute as that kid then I’ll be a happy camper. Worked out well, me thinks!

OKAY bench day= FUCK YEAH

3x5 Bench

80 x 5
85 x 5
90 x 10 ← 10 for my five, happy with THAT. The last rep was slow and wonky, but by GOLLY i pushed it through. I also paused every single rep in this set, yeahh mutha fuckaaaaaa.

uhh begin insane volume once again

95 x 5
90 x 8
85 x 10

Close grip bench press

75 x 8
75 x 8
75 x 8

Floor press

Okay now, I did a bunch of sets, wanted to work up to 100 x 3, got 100 x 3, then decided to do a 4th, then a 5th, but got stuck on the fifth and almost died and had to squirm around to get myself out of this weight. THEREFORE I am not counting any of those sets or reps that happened PRE FAIL (because I am mental) BUT, i got back up and tried again. SO POST FAIL sets were:

95 x 3
100 x 3
100 x 3
95 x 5

I love floor press when it doesn’t crush me  I OWNED IT (after it embarrassed me)

one arm DB rows
35 x 8 (each arm)
40 x 8
40 x 8
40 x 8

hMM few sets wide grip pull ups, few sets NG pull ups…

Tri extension cable thingie, 5 sets of that I think. Dips 4, 4, 4, lat pull down thingie but I held it a different grip (how thrilling)

MMKAY YES I LOVE VOLUME. I feel dead and accomplished and now I am excited to rest tomorrow and kill my deadlifts on friday.

BYE

You crack me up!

THANK GOD FOR THE INTERWEBZ. Not only did the interwebz basically save my life when I was so sick with thyroid disease (like literally found my doctor held my hand everything) um, but YEAH where else can I TALK ABOUT THIS without inducing eye glaze boredom in my target? ONLY HERE. Yay T Nation Yay PW.

Benching looks strong as fukk girl.

I don’t get to talk to talk training with anyone except here - it’s weird how most people just don’t lift.

Great bench session. That’s a lot of volume right there.

Your personality on here shines like a full moon. You’re gregarious, smart, energized, & according to the pic on first page sexy.

Don’t be solitude in the outside world. I would think much like in here, that people would flock & wanna be around you. Don’t suppress it. Sermon over

That is NO DOUBT a shitload of volume but I like it. Dips & pull-ups are sexy IMHO.

EDIT-You got me all hyped on the floor presses too. Gonna do it tomorrow as a accessory. Thanks.
