I cannot see any possible benefits to benching with feet off the floor.

If it were me, and i wanted to take the leg drive out of it i would do floor presses instead. This would help your lockout, but is also allows you to take leg drive out completely if done correctly.

However, maybe it would work for you. The only way to find out is to try it. Just my 2cents. :slight_smile:

I never thought it had any benefit till maraudermeat says he does it, so it must have some.

For the record I think that benching with your feet at back-level (i.e., I’ve done floor presses with knees up, feet on the floor) helps develop leg drive. It would probably be similar to putting your feet on a bench but my daddy long legs wouldn’t fit.

Life news:
So I officially have my sign language and Deaf studies certificate. The interpreter program doesn't start until fall, BUT on may 4th I have to pass a screening to see if I can even be IN the interpreter program.

It's terrifying to think that I might not get in. I have been working towards this for almost 2 years now. There is nothing else in the whole world for me. I love this completely.
I am just in limbo right now. In a few weeks I could have no direction, I dunno. 
There are 25 applicants, and 20 spots. 
I am working with a tutor right now to keep my signing up, but you never really know just how the screening will go. 
Bascially I will be having anxiety induced IBS from now until may 4th.

Brute: WEll actually one day while I was at work a Deaf woman came in and I was totally ignorant and clueless as to how to communicate with her. I felt so shitty I ended up taking a beginner Sign language course so I could see her again someday and apologize, lOl. TURNED OUT she was my teacher and I knew from that moment on it was meant to be. End/mushyness.
