Moving On to A 4x6 Plan

So I have just completed my ‘Increase 1RM’ plan. I’m 5kg off my Bench and Squat goals but still happy with my progress.

I can feel I’m not progressing on this plan anymore so I’m moving on to another goal. I don’t look that much bigger than when I started this plan but I can lift heavier shit and weigh nearly 5kg more so I figure it must be good.

My goal is to take 90% of 1RM and aim for being able to do 4x6 on my lifts. I call it the ‘Increase 4x6’ plan.

I am not very imaginative.

Going to keep eating what I’m eating. Not really change anything except my set/rep scheme.

Think this is a good way to continue progress? Once I achieve this goal I see if can go for another 40kg on both my dead and squat and another 20kg on my bench which would mean I could join the 2,3,4 club! (I just made that club up - its the baby club of the 3,4,5 club).

Monday I got:
Bench 75kg: 3,3,3,2
Squat 90kg 4,4,3,3
Chin 10kg 6,6,5,4 (Might move this up to 12.5kg straight away).

Today is Dead,Dip and Pullup day.

You ever take a look at/try out the WS4SB programs?

I’ve had a lot of success increasing my big three on WS4SB. Plus the max effort days give you some freedom to work around the 3-5RM range.

In any case, good luck with this program. Where’s your other thread with the “increase 1rm” program? I’d like to see what you did.

I keep my log in my head but there are a few posts of mine so I’ve collected a couple of links for you.

Funny to read 'em. I made gains a little quicker than I expected and my goals seem quite low now.
