Just wondering if anybody out on T-Nation had some uncommon variations on exercises or set/rep schemes that have yielded good results? This is Sort of inspired by Ct’s old article.
The question came to me when I tried something a little new in the Gym. I had seen a lot of people talking about one arm barbell rows, so I decided to use them in my training, albeit a little differently.
The Gym I go to has these premolded bars, about the size of an Ez bar. I decided to try rowing these and found that they surprisingly hit my lats a lot harder while also minimizing the amount of body English I could use to get the bar up.
For my final set, I decided to do a drop set of sorts:
First I repped out with the short bar.
Then I switched to a dumbbell of the same weight.
Finally I finished off by rowing the bar with both arms.
This made me wonder if anyone else had anything they’ve done in the gym to add a little difficulty to their workouts that hasn’t been seen before.
