I just had to comment on the top-notch service from Biotest. I ordered a bottle of ELITEPRO upon its release when it was still priced at $35.00 a bottle. When I later noticed the price change I was kicking myself for not waiting just a couple of days. A few days later however, I woke up to find a message on my phone from Biotest customer service saying that I was going to be credited back the difference! Tim Patterson and TC…you guys make it easy to stay a loyal customer with the great service and supplements. Keep up the good work!
Been taking these for several days and I can say that I haven’t had any adverse effects. (No loose stools) It’s hard to say but the Z-12 and ELITEPRO stack seems to improve my sleep quality even more than Z-12 and ZMA did.
having worked extensively with a functional medicine doctor i can tell you for a fact that 75% plus of males in this country are severly magnesium and zinc deficient. And yes Mag Glycinate is by far the best form of this mineral to take orally.

Great to hear, I just got my order in. It’s probably higher than 75% to be honest.

agreed i tend to be conservative to avoid the dreaded “internet backlash”
i take about 600mg of mag glycinate every night and have never had any “stool issues”
Does one need to watch their intake of selenium and/or vanadium from food items (such as mushrooms or brazil nuts) to avoid toxic levels?
“In light of potential toxicity risks, the National Academy of Sciences (in the year 2000)set a tolerable upper limit (UL) for selenium of 400 micrograms per day for men and women 19 years and older.”
Considering the dose for ELITEPRO gives 200mcg of selenium, and, for example, brazil nuts have 70-90 mcg per nut, it would seem easy to over do it. Is this a concern?
Thanks
I’m going to say this as a football player and a strength coach for football players…this is a huge supplement.
And, God knows, I’m no shill for Biotest…but this one has enormous potential.
This has definitely helped my sleep a bunch. Im a fan.

Is it a good idea to take 3 capsules in the morning with breakfast and 4 capsules in the afternoon with dinner? The reason I ask is because I eat Greek yogurt before going to bed and my understanding is that magnesium and dairy are not friends.
Should this supplement be cycled every 3 months or so?
Is this supplement needed for someone who is not an athlete or bodybuilder, but who follows a relatively low carb diet and exercises moderately?
Thanks.

Go back and read the article on the first question. The double bonded chelation allows you to take the magnesium any time you want without worry. Other Mag supps don’t because of poor absorption.
You know, I consider myself to be pretty good from a nutritional standpoint; I thought I had everything covered.
So low and behold, every since I’ve stopped using steroids (it has been years now), I noticed periods of what I thought were normal “natural” bouts of the dreaded over training syndrome.
Now, of course I was smart enough (well…maybe), to make adjustments in my training according to my “new” recuperative power reduction…but in real life, it is difficult to control the outside environmental stresses that get thrown your way. The best training, nutrition, and sleep sometimes could not compete with the sometimes enormous work or life stresses that one must deal with.
So, as I said, I thought I was doing everything I could.
Then this supplement came around.
And I decided to try it.
And what an amazing difference this has made to me.
I sleep like a baby now. My recuperative powers has been tremendous so far. No more aches and pains (or they are severely muted). I actually think clearer. Obviously I must have been severely mineral deprived (even though I was taking what I thought was adequate amounts from other supplementation and food) and I blame my continued years (decades) of hard training with or without sauce that put me in this state.
I have always been a huge proponent of bloodwork…but I have only done bloodwork to gauge and monitor what my steroid cycles were doing to me. I had never done bloodwork to monitor my physiology’s nutritional status. That will now change.
Hard trainers: I strongly believe what the article states…that we are depleting ourselves of minerals (and who knows what else) which will ultimately creep up and bite us in the ass down the road. I am even beginning to believe that the “low testosterone” issue that eventually shows up with every hard training natural bodybuilder (my observation only; not a scientific based fact) could be due to this depletion over time. The fact that some of us probably don’t absorb our nutrients (like minerals) as well as we think probably exacerbates this situation. Steroids will mask this for awhile (they help with mineral absorption among other things), but even the steroid brethren should really consider this type of supplement.
Biotest, please consider a vitamin supplement too…one that is highly bioavailalbe as this Mineral supplement appears to be (for me).
Awesomeness. That’s all I can say.

I have read the article before posting, but it does not say anything specific about magnesium and dairy. As far as know, magnesium has an absorption/interaction issue with dairy.

Yes they did address this.
Specifically, magnesium can have an interaction with calcium specifically in dairy.
However, as they mentioned, this does not have that issue.
morepain and samurai vouching this stuff. i’m in !!
i have personally begged TC for the following:
a true high quality multi vitamin ( i now use ortho molecular solutions alpha bases)
a high potency probiotic ( i now use metagenics ultra flora plus df)
a hihg potency d3
if you want ot see amazing things happne in your life i recommend the following protocol for anyone
a kick ass multi such as above
a probiotic - use a good one like metagenics not shit (this one step will do incredible things for you)
d3 - every human should be taking this
Superfood
Flameout
mineral support
Think of it this way step one is get the crap in you…step two is get it absorbed (this is where the probiotic comes in)…step three is cover likely deficiencies (minerals/d3/multi)…step four fight inflammation (Flameout/also glutamine such as in Metabolic Drive is excellent here)
it is fairly fascinating to me to see the money people will spend on high end supps then i ask “hows your gut health” HUH??? well guess what, i don;t care what you shovel in if it isn’t getting absorbed it isn’t doing shit.

I was wrong. You are correct. I went back one more time and saw that another has person asked this same question. If this is true, I am impressed. Anyway, I just ordered a bottle.
What would be a good Multi Vit to stack with this?
How was x-ray diffraction used for testing? I wouldn’t think amino acid chelates would form crystalline structures.
I’ve read that topical sprays for Magnesium are more effective than oral pills here: » A New Paradigm for Performance Testing – Part 2
If one were to use both Mineral Muscle and a Mag. spray, how would this be done? I would assume full dosage of MM, and maybe 1/4 to 1/2 of the dosage for the spray?
