Bit headachey the past few days. I don’t know if it’s from the lack of water (I go through my nalgene about 3-4 times a day, and on days I’m more active it’s about 5-6 times). But it could be from feeling somewhat stressed; I just entered finals week, and I’m graduating in a week and a half: I wrote an 11 page paper an hour before it was due and took a final yesterday, have another 10 page paper due Saturday and a final Friday, then another final Monday and again on Tuesday. Gonna take it relatively easy today, still gonna work on everything, but not rush to get things done.

Then I’m gonna go for my almost-daily walk with my housemate (as the classes ended, we began trying to walk everyday, either in the morning or in the evening, but now we have during the day too.)

Been done with exams and everything since Monday, but have been feeling nauseas and migrainey. The weather in Central NY went from 60s to 40s and was snowing Sunday and Monday, so now we are all getting sick

Tomorrow is graduation, so no lifting. And I need to find a workout that works with the equipment I have in my home gym.

My Daughter has migraines pretty badly.

Her neurologist has her on a little Zoloft, and Mirgavent. Migravent is a combination of 3 or four vitamins/minerals. It has serious double blind studies showing effectiveness. He says the ratios are important…

Anyway, 1 drug free that is shown to work, and 1 that doesn’t cause noticeable side effects (dose is REAL low)…

Good Luck…[/quote]

I can attest the Migravent really works. I also found the high doses of Ibuprofen instead of narcotics worked very well. With that said I was getting migraines 4 or 5 times a month and not once a day every day. I was amazed when they suggested the 1200mg of Ibuprofen and really thought they were nuts, but it does work. Now when my vision starts to change, I reach for the Ibuprofen and if possible lay down for a couple of minutes and it goes away.

Ah, nice to be done with school and officially graduated. Took Saturday and Sunday off, aside from moving boxes from the apartment to the car and then to the house between those two days.

Monday, I did 15mins of cardio. Tuesday was 100 kettle bell swings, 20 kb high pulls, 10 kb curls with the kb weighing 35lbs. Wednesday, I helped my dad prepare the boat to be launched into the water, so there was a lot of lugging things up and down ladders (and a slight misadventure while on the water).

After dinner this evening, I’ll do another kb workout. We are going away in a week on a cruise so I don’t want to commit to a new program to fit my home-gym facility for not even one cycle through it. Until departure, I’ll just be doing some maintenance with the kb.

Last night:

100 kb swings
3x10 kb high pulls
3x10 DB Rear Deltoid Raise @ 20lbs
3x10 DB Hammer Curl @ 15lbs

Tonight’s plan:
4x10 kb squats
4x10 kb Dead lifts
4x15 DB Rows @ 15lbs
4x15 DB Bench @ 30lbs

And I did some fasted NEPA this morning for about 50 minutes (walked about 3 miles before it started pouring).

Saturday!

100 kb swings
4x10 Dips
4x10 DB rear deltoid raise
4x15 DB lateral raise

4x10 kb squats
4x10 kb RDLs
4x10 each lunges with KB
4x15 DB Rows @ 15lbs

Last workout before the trip!

100 kb swings
4x10 kb high pulls
4x10 hammer curls with 15lbs each
4x15 lat raises with 10lbs each

Baaack! The trip was great fun, with some kayaking, jet skiing, and cycling. But now that I’m home, back to the lifting!

Front squat
4x10 @ 85lbs

Lunges
4x12 with 15lb DBs

Deadlift
4x10 @ 95lbs

Weighted sit-ups
4x10 @ 15lb DB

I liked the previous program I did: it was challenging both strength and endurance for me. But unfortunately, I don’t have all the necessary equipment in my garage, so I had to vary some of the lifts. Also, today was the first time I dead lifted since the lifting meet back in early April, and boy can I feel it.

DB bench
4x10 @ 30lbs

Dips
4x8 with a chain (I don’t have a belt to attach weights to now that I’m home)

Flys
4x10 @ 15lbs

Tricep extensions
4x10 @ 60lbs

Pull ups
4x4 (absolutely suck at these, which means I’m gonna keep training them)

One arm rows
4x15 @ 30lbs

Good mornings
4x10 @ 45lbs

Hanging leg raises
4x10

Just started getting together self-defense classes and martial art classes at my local Y. Hoping it goes through so I can make some extra money. Plus, applying to real life jobs and figuring out grad school…oh boy.

DB Press

Deadlift

My legs were already tired from hours worth of martial arts within the past two days. So I figured squats were grand idea. Oof
