Meal Schedule

All,

I’m very much a beginner to this. I used to work out constantly in high school, and at peak was about 160 lbs. I’m 5’8.

3-4 years later, I now play poker for a living, which is very sedentary, and don’t work out. I’m pretty inactive. My eating habits aren’t very good. I now weigh 250 lbs.

What I need is a grocery list, and meal schedule for every few days that I can recycle and keep doing. Every meal described would be nice, because although I know I should eat 5-6 meals a day, I have no idea what quantities and types I should eat.

Personal recipes so it doesn’t get old quickly would be very welcome. I really want to stick to this, and believe that just changing my eating habits will speed up my metabolism and help me lose weight. I have recently started to work out; as it’s been so long since I’ve worked out, I’m starting very slowly. It may be awhile before I am considered athletic again, but it’s a start.

If I follow your food advice and continue to work out, what kind of realistic weight goals can I have?

Thanks,

Prabs

I would recommend you pick up John Berardi’s Precision Nutrition.

It looks like you really need to start from the ground up, and this would be a great resource for you to start with.

these should help,

cant expect us to do all the work. you know the old “teach a man to fish…” saying

Those will give you a good base of knowledge. You can then easily build that shopping list and make wise food choice and easy meals Like have some meat have some veggies, have a peice of fruit. Simple then experiment as you go.

Come on back with any more direct questions,
Phill

Wow, no offense, I am sort of kidding, but if you expect strangers to go out and design your meal plan and put together a shopping list for you, it is no wonder that you have gotten out of shape.

Do some digging. Don’t look for shortcuts all the time. Stop living off of fast food. Convenience will kill you dude.
