At a guess - bench press.
PS Most questions look stupid when you type them like that.
A good place to start is with a max effort triple, not a single, if you are a beginner. As far as exercises go a good place to start would be 4 or 5 board presses or rack lockouts. Look up Dave Tate’s articles on this site for more details. Good luck with achieving your goals.

hmm so your saying this guy, who just started westside(and so it is then quite doubtful he owns a bench shirt) needs to focus on the portion of the lift where maybe .0000005% of raw lifers fail?
as far as the poster’s question, it will become easier to tell your own weaknesses as you go along, but i’m just gonna take a guess and say you probably fail within 4 inches of your chest. therefore, 1-2 board, or hell you could even max out on dumbell bench(triples/doubles of course for a beginner)
Cher that sounds good,
Havnt done any board presses or lock outs or floor presses just normal bench in cline decline and DB stuff.
Just a comment though dont i leave the normal bench stuff for DE days and all the floor presses are for ME days?
Ill work myself up to the bench shirt days.
In reply to massif tht dont sound half as stupid as Australia beating the All Blacks
