Way hotter.

I wonder if Obama would have made it past Super Tuesday if Hillary had half Palin’s hotness.
Doubt it, haha!

Yep, metro nancy boys just don’t cut it for some of us. Who do the dems really have that have something else to offer than socialism. Seriously, a gun packing liberal just might win.

But thinking the average citizen can be trusted with a gun is the slippery slope of common sense that would probably wipe out any sill liberl tendencies.

I would take Bush for a third term over Obama, McCain, Kerry, Gore or Clinton.

Agreed, there is this weird kind of non thinking that it couldn’t be worse. well it could. I was so glad Gore was not president on 9/11/01.

It could be much worse. Just look at the last two years with a Democrat Congress.

Agreed twice. This may shock some people, but the war itself is not my problem with Bush.

Can you imagine this waif or any of the other Dems having to handle something like a potential showdown with Putin? I can envision (satirically) news footage with Putin patting him on the shoulder, both smiling, while the tanks roll by in the background.

Or the first 2 years of Clinton’s first term that led directly to a Republican blitz in the house and the senate. Only a snoring campaign and a dull, though qualified GOP candidate gave Billy a second term.

I can’t even think about what would happen if this guy walked into the whitehouse with sizable majorities in both houses. It would be a bad Stephen King novel. It literally makes me shudder.

Another thought.

The VP debate can REALLY be tricky.

While Biden has just (if not more) than a compelling Life Story as Palin, he can REALLY blow this debate if he comes off pompous and over-confident. (Which he is known to do).

As I stated, she is relatively “attack proof”; and even if she is attacked, I can only see it back firing on the Dems.

Yep, Biden seems like that guy who thinks he’s smarter than you and it shows.

So since Obama thinks we have 57 states in the Union, he might be a candidate for dementia?
All those stats and THAT’S all you can come up with?

I retract my earlier statement about the debate. I am becoming more convinced that she could embarrass Biden with a surprise zinger or two that he would not take well. By all accounts she will be entirely unimpressed by his exalted personhood which if played deftly could be a blast to watch.
Iron Dwarf wrote:

No, you highlighted getting facts wrong from memory - so I did the same.

Also, if you watch the clip with McCain being asked about the houses, it was a dismissal of the question, not a loss of memory.

Only if Nikita Kruschev were the only other alternative would I spend one calorie even considering a vote for Obama.

I’m sure I have a much higher IQ than you do

No really, I’m sure I have a much higher IQ than you do

Yep, definitely that guy.

Until a couple of hours ago I only knew about her from the radio news.

Now that I’ve seen her on TV: Damn she is hot. Far and away the hottest female politician ever. And it’s not as if you have to limit the category to female politicans (not overall a hot group) – in any group she is uber-hot.

It’s the same situation as when I was in graduate school. My professor only ever had one or two graduate students at a time. When I saw my predecessor and (for one year) colleague, it was instantly obvious why he’d picked her: he would have been incredibly stupid to have turned down having her in his lab vs any guy or most any other female student.

While he was and is not a horn-dog type (I don’t think so anyway) he is not stupid, that’s for sure.

McCain would have been stupid, once the idea of her as VP was considered, to have turned down having her hanging around in the White House all the time. I guess he is not stupid.

Also I have little doubt that many will vote for the McCain ticket just because she is hot. Really.

No, this is a terrific choice if it is indeed Palin. Very solid conservative who speaks well. And yes RJ, I do believe she has a good personality that shines through well when she’s speaking.

She will attract alot of the Hillary discontents. I’m pretty excited if this is truly his choice. Good pick IMHO.

Look friend, I’m a solid conservative and right about everything according to me, but have no illusions about my qualifications for the US Presidency.

Have our standards fallen so low that anybody who agrees with us is able to command our military, navigate potentially catastrophic foreign relations issues, wrangle the finest points of constitutional law with the house and the senate in the grandest arena of all, not even to mention the domestic disasters facing this nation today?

Even the leaders of the past like FDR, who I do not have a high regard for, were giants among men, mastodons. These lightweights are a joke. Political pandering and it’s worst in this case.

EDIT: Joe Biden will pummel her in the debates at least that will be the perception.
I tend to think she’s great. And I yield to no one on the neanderthal scale when it comes to politics.

Governors have much better experience for the presidency than anyone in washington. There’s nothing worse than a senator for pure gaseousness.

Biden is easily the biggest prick on the scene today. You can’t listen to him for 30 seconds without thinking … what a gigantic ass. I think that will come across in spades debating Palin.

He will come at her with a "listen little lady’ style which will go over real well. Or he’ll back off and be dripping with sarcasm. He’s got a minefield on his hands. I can remember him in some big Senate hearings (clarence thomas maybe?) and he was insufferable. I bet even a lot of democrats came away hating him.

And if you’ve checked her out … she’s pretty damn tough and not in a bitchy way. Watching the two of them talk I get the feeling she could break him in two. Or at least deprive him of all his hair plugs.

I like her. She seems sharp, likable, confident and competent to me. We’ll have to see if she keeps it up …
