MAX-OT Program Opinions Needed

Hi,

I’m currently avaluating a number of programs. What is your opinion on MAX-OT?
Thanks.

The problem with this program is that it maintains the same set/rep scheme throughout the entire program. It believes that 2 sets of 4-6 reps with two exercises per bodypart and training to failure is the only way to train. The body will adapt and go stale. The structure is ok, but needs to change the set/rep scheme rather than just the exercises to ensure continual progress.

CT just said something about this program in the thread for his easy-hard gainer article.

I am currently doing the MAX-OT program. So far it’s been great. With their proposed changes in exercises and a constant increase in weights used, in my opinion and theirs, keeps the body constantly adapting to new stimuli. I have been on it for just under a year and am still increasing either reps or wieght each week.

Actually, this is not Max-OT at all. I don’t know what program you’re describing, but it’s not Max-OT.

Max-OT is four to six reps on two to three sets for six to nine exercises per bodypart, never training to failure.

I’m looking forward to trying it for the first time.

You are supposed to train to positive failure on every set.
