I can give you a video of the lift if you are really interested.
The video will not be necessary thankyou. I still can’t bring myself to watch the one on youtube of the guy squatting when his suit fails and he turns himself inside out, so to speak.
I got knocked on my arse a few days ago by a nasty chest cold. Of course, I still had to go to work, and couldn’t leave early. Today, I was able to do an easy workout and slow row without too much coughing.

Good lifting. I’m impressed at the way you’re coming back. I liked the C. Anderson vid. Get up there and do what you’re there for.
Thanks, Harry. I’m just glad to be doing something. It’s kind of nice now to feel no real pressure to achieve anything in particular other than just staying healthy.
Chest is starting to clear out a bit today. Still, I took it pretty easy.
I might row a short piece later this evening.
Oh, and I gave notice at work today. I’ll be leaving behind an ugly situation. The new position will have some challenges, but at least I won’t work for a bipolar monster.
I took Fri and Sat to travel to the new location to look for apartments. I planned to lift yesterday, but just had too much to do to get to it. I’ll probably be joining a gym at the new location. They have a Powerhouse, with some pretty decent equipment. The apartment complex has a “gym”, but it ain’t much. I’m going to miss my home gym, but at least I’ll be coming home lots of weekends and will get to use it then.
We’re bracing for the MotherOfAllStorms here. I hope they’re exagerating.
Stayed home from work today waiting for the 18" of snow that never materialized. Wife was terrified that we’d lose power, so I got some gpp splitting and carrying wood (not the good kind of wood either).

Your upper body strength seems to be coming along. Do you experience pain with any of these exercises? I still can hardly OHP.
No pain really, but I do feel the insertion sometimes with rows, DLs, and curls. It’s hard to describe how it feels - not painful, but it does keep me from pushing harder. I’ll be at the 1 year point in about 3 weeks. Doc told me full strength could take 18 months.
I’m all moved in at the apartment at the new (undisclosed) location. There are a couple of gyms within 5 min of my apt. I’m working through a 1 week free pass at the cheaper of the two. I MUCH prefer my home gym in my basement. Did upper body yesterday. Tried lower body today. Got my squat sequence in, then a bunch of folks took over the area, attaching rubber bands to all of the equipment and doing gawd knows what. The whole weight/machine area is at least 90% upper body and less than 10% lower. And, of the upper body, I’m guessing 50% of that is chest, maybe 30% back and 10% shoulders. I’m hoping the other place is better!

Uh, that doesn’t quite add up, does it?
Tonight was my last day on the free pass. It’s $12 for 24 hour pass, so I can go late on Tu, and go early on Wed. Thursday I go home for a 3 day weekend. There is another gym here in Kokomo, and I’ll try a 7-day free pass there, and then decide which one to sign up with.
Joe - Nasty rain/sleet/snow here today, and the gym was pretty durn empty tonight too.
Looks like I lost about 5 lbs in the last couple of weeks. I’m not sure why, but I’m not complaning. It’s time to put some effort into losing some fat. Living alone in the apartment when I’m at work, I don’t eat out much, and I prepare most of my own food. No excuses.
The new job seems to be working out pretty well so far.
As for gyms, I went through the 1 week pass at the first place. I checked out the other gym on Thursday night. The let me work out that night, and will be giving me a two week pass starting this Monday. It’s a little more expensive, but not bad ($35/mo with the employee discount). The have more equipment, but a little less variety in the Hammer Strength machines. There were fewer people standing around talking. Folks seemed to be there to (gasp) work out! Just one day, though. I’ll give it the full two weeks before I make up my mind.
I hope you all are doing well. I wish I had more time to follow your threads.
