Is it me or do luburic and marin sound a lot alike? Also do some research people before we proclaim him one of the strongest drug-free atheletes on the planet. Check out his totals in a sanctioned meet, hint-WDFPF. He did set a bench record in that fed in 2006, 529 pounds in the equipped or shirted division at -275pds.
Strong, but not world class, I believe the 100% raw guy Belk did 575 here in America without a shirt in the same weight class. Notice to in all of his videos he is doing a bottom half partial with a shirt on, bouncing the wieght and spotter helping every lift with far heavier wieghts he threw up in a competition.
You can go to a lot of local meets here in the states and see an unknown guy hit 530 in a shirt. He also claimed he did the 529 raw in another post, but it is in the equipped records division of this fed and they offer an unequipped division also, so why then would it not be counted in the unequipped.
Get on the search engines and see for yourself. He has the nerve to get on here and claim his countrys superiority and every one else’s countries inferiority, also claim his status as one of the strongest powerlifters on the planet with shady video, acts like a prick to everyone that would probably help him otherwise, and then wants a sponsor. I wouldn’t want him wearing any logo I am associated with.

So when you were 18 you benched 200kg raw? That would have made you 20 years old in 2001 when you entered in the WDFPF Euro Championships, right? So two years after your 200kg/440pd raw bench you squatted 250/551, benched 170/375, and deadlifted 250/551, all in the equipped division?
Yet you claim your lifts are raw but you lift in the equipped division in a fed that offers a raw division? You were also in the 145kg weight class that meet. How was your equipped bench 65 pds. less than your “claimed” raw bench 2 years before? I doesn’t take a CIA security clearance to find out this info, only a google search engine.

First of all I didnt proclaim anybodies dominance. I respect every nation and I judge on people only after I meet them. I was badly injured as a 20 year old a couple of months after I did 700kg (200 bench press raw, 210 did but too short pause)with 19 at the Austrian powerlifting championship without the equipment.
I coudnt do bench press because of severe shoulder injurie. You can check this in Austrian federation. After that injurie i competed injured practicly without proper training in any discipline specially bench press. I am not yet where I want to be but I now my talents and I shall work hard to be the best.
I apollogise if I insulted anyone, and I dont want or need money from USA sponsors and I dont expect any. I only want to communicate with powerlifters worldwide and find out how things are going with powerlifting in there countries.

The last thing I want to do is to get involved in this Croatia/America bashing, but I have to answer this.
My brother is currently a member of the Croatian ISAF contingent stationed in Kandahar, Afghanistan and recently his patrol got into a firefight with the Taleban fighters.
And yes, we have fought with distinction in every major European war. Tragically, in almost every case it was for someone else.
As someone familiar with both Croatian and American cultures, I believe that most of the heated discussion between Marin and others in this thread can be attributed to cultural differences.
Also, poor trolling by a poster with rather strange political affiliations also contributed.

Loppar, here is the thing, nobody bashed Croatia. Honestly, I don’t know much about your country and I have nothing againist it. Actually me and your brother have a lot in common. You are right, my theory is, and I may be wrong, that luburic and Marin are one in the same. Just read the posts and check out the pictures and you will probably come to the same conclusion.
I never said my country is better than yours. I did make the statement about non-Americans blaming Americans for their problems in response to his accusation of Americans ruining the sport of powerlifting because of gear. I shouldn’t have generalized there, sorry if anyone was offended. I should have said some non-Americans.
After that we all got to see what kind of people Marin and Luburic were, Mega A-holes. Please don’t think that I will consider all Croatians this way. Your brother can probably understand this, I spent a lot of time in a place trying to HELP people by freeing them from a slavemaster dictator and for religous reasons they blamed all of their problems on us when all they had to do was let us help them get on their feet and live a free life.
I have seen brothers die, almost been killed and had to kill for a people who refuse to stand up for their own freedom. Some of them will, but the majority will not out of fear of the terrorists, and who do they blame? America, of course. I then went on to do some research and caught him in a couple of lies and his only response is that he knows his sporting value, his own strength and we will all hear about him in 2 years, and then says Americans are arrogant,how ironic.
One thing I learned a long time ago was if you are good at something you don’t have to tell anyone and brag about it, they will see it, now there is a difference between promoting yourself and bragging and being conceited, the latter usually have some altered version of the truth attached.
I also learned that you can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time. My point is he is an A-hole and nobody ever bashed Croatia and when I said they have never fought in a war, I meant luburic and Marin not the Croatian soldiers.
What I meant was it is always someone who never fought in a war, luburic and Marin, talking the most smack, by no means was I ever trying to put down your soldiers as a former soldier I would never do that to someone who has fought on the same side I have, sorry if I said it the wrong way.

For your info, I never raped or tortured women and I only kicked in doors of known terrorists. I never bullied anyone and went to that country to help and did. As a matter of fact my favorite memory is the gratitude I recieved from the Kurdish families who regarded us a saviors from genocide.
Working with the peshmerga, I came to know from their storys of Halabja, genocide, and brutal torture from Saddam that it was a just and humanitarian war.
