marvin you need to start a new training thread because others destroyed this one. i was realy looking forward to reading some of your training techniques. people posting unneccesary pictures and making unnecessary cooments really dilute the important things. it makes for an pleasant experience having to search through a thread for pertanent information. so is the beast we call forums. i wish you health and luck with your training goals. laters pk

How much has he done in a sanctioned meet? Who sanctioned it and what gear was he wearing? I have only seen gym lifts on here with spotters helping on every lift. I am not saying the dude isn’t strong. He clearly is, but I would actually like to see what he has done in competition without the help of spotters before I venture to say he is one of the strongest drug-free lifters in the world.

Are you joking?![/quote]

No, I wasn’t joking and he answered my question. What is wrong with asking for his competition numbers? There was a clear difference in what he did in the video-355kg for reps with shirt and spotters helping and what he did in competition-240 no shirt and no spotters. That is a 253.5 pound difference.

So I think the question was legitimate. There would be a big difference in the maximum weight lifted with anyone lifting with a shirt and spotters helping, including you and me. I was glad to see he did that bench raw in his last competition makes me respect him even more.

The competition lifts are what he will be judged by not the gym lift videos on the internet. They are quite impressive, but if he wants a sponsor, what he does in the meet is what they will look at.

P.S. Marin: Thanks for the info, your one strong dude and good luck at the IPF meet.

240kg- bench press raw without any bench press shirts on a last competition in Ireland (a new -125kg new world drug free federation record)I did also 260kg but the judges said it was no good.

My plan before the competiton was to start with 270kg and end with 310, but when I broke my shirt on training It wasnt possible.

In 2007 I shall compete in the IPF European and World Bench press and my goal is first place. All I need is a good shirt and a sponsor to help with my expencies.

You have many good lifting years ahead.
You have the potential for breaking world bench press record!
keep up the great work!

Just joking! I love rally also.

Americans have destroyed this sport with canvas double shirts and denim triple crap shirts. I heard that Gene Ryback even used elastic materials in his shirt. Whats the point?! We all want to see powerlifting at the Olympics but with iregular equipment it will never happen.

Well,in the future we will see 400+ benchers with a bench-shirt with 64 layers and the bar will travel WHOLE 2 INCHES until lock-out!

Don’t blame a whole fucking country for what a few fat lifters took out of controle. Gear is gear, it doesn’t matter how many ply you use. If you use gear, you are not raw, if you don’t well then you’re raw. Two fucking catagories is enough. “It’s because of you goddammed croats” with your shit-formed bellybenching that other people have such an easy job winning with double ply shirts.

It is always funny to hear geared lifters dogging out too much gear. I once saw a guy wearing a tee shirt under his squat suit that said, “friends don’t let friends lift in double ply”. As far as the blaming America thing, don’t even listen to it, that is just what non-Americans do, until someone like Hitler comes along and they need us or they need something like the Berlin Wall torn down and their freedom restored. Then they forget about us helping them out in less than 10 years and start blaming us for all of their problems again, but for some reason they all want to come and live in America. I don’t get it? I guess its those arrogant Americans fault!

Dude Gene Rychalk used a 2ply shirt to get his 1005lb bench. There where some rumers going around(ill let you guess who started them) but gene showed us he wasnt using some elastic shit.

p.s. Im a raw lifter, i have nothing against single and double ply, anything more then that is to much for me tho.

Well,thank you for nothing!
We,the CROATS managed to defend our land 1991-1995. just fine without Americans!!!
Ask Your buddies who went to Iraq how many Croats are working security jobs there.

Ask your buddies in Afganistan about Croatian soldiers there!
And ask someone from French Foreign Legion why is there so many Croats!

And another thing,my man!
Read some history.
In the second world war,Croatia was an alley of Germany.
We fought against Russians and others.

History lesson!

Croats are not blaming Americans for anything.
First,we dont cry about our problems.
We sort our problems out ourselves.

Let me tell you about my own opinion.
I see USA as a very big and very diverse country,so I cant make any general opinion.
But if I had something against Americans,I wouldnt post on this site.
Any guys I asked for adviced helped me.
Anyway, lets drop politics out of iron game,OK?!

Out of the last 6 posts. I’ve come to conclude the following.

1.) You’re a Nazi
2.) You hate Americans
3.) I fought in the Middle East, there were soldiers of every race, you aren’t special.
3-Again.) YOU DIDNT FIGHT IN THE MIDDLE EAST

First,I am not a Nazi.Quite the contrary,I dont like the goverment telling me what to do.I dont like high taxes. My favoutite athlete is Allen Iverson!
I am just posting about history.
You,Americans didnt save and free Croats from Hitler, because we fought against you in second world war.
In 1941. Croatia declared war against USA.Those are historic facts.

Second,I dont hate Americans. Why would I hate you?
Third,no I didnt fought in the Middle East. Why would I? Iraqis are not attacking Croatia.

Fourth,YES, Croats workin in Iraq as security are special.Because of their experience in our war 1991-1995. and natural warrior talent,Croats are best men there. Now,dont take my word on that—do some research!
Basicaly,all your asumptions are wrong.
