Jesus now the pressure is on, I feel like I’m going to disappoint - there’s a lot of good lifters on the roster

You would be the first one![/quote]

I may throw in in a week or so. I’m recovering from a strong man comp that has my back smoked at the moment. I’m not sure which weight to go with. I’m over 132 by a bit but no where near 148. Why not use the new IPF classes  That would work better for me.

Snap you in?

Ahh, the DL queen has arrived!

I blew my hip out three weeks ago. Only benching right now. But you, my dear, you will take the prize.

So which way would you go? 132 or 148? I’m sitting around 136 at the moment with no plans to lose weight since my current weight class is 139.

Ouch! Hope the hip isn’t anything too serious! What happened?

No need to fit into a weight class for this, the calculator will calculate down to the kilo, and give you the appropriate weight for exact body weight.

Let me know if your interested and I’ll PM you more!

I’m interested. How does the calculator work? Is it based on wilks for one lift?

We did a local fundraiser last weekend that calculated the weights for women at 100 wilks and men for 120. The first part of the challenge was max reps. My weight was 202.5 and I hit 20 dead stop. The top lifters for reps went on the max pulls. I hit 295 but couldn’t budge anything over that. The entire day was a laugh and a ton of fun.

Looks like for your weight you’d have to do 262 for reps. The girl scale seems tougher actually, relatively speaking.

It does seem tough, I have to admit! Yep, the formula is directly derived from wilks.

I’m not exactly sure how the adjustments are made between male and female lifters. I’m guessing its based off of a percentage of placings/totals in the IPF, and they adjust the scale appropriately to match evenly between bodyweights/male, and female. Just a guess!

Jennifer Thompson may have threw it off for everyone

Just over 1-week until deadline reminder.

I"m planning on doing it tomorrow unless I totally suck. Has anyone else put up video?

^^^ CYBER CHEERING FOR YOU !!

We’ll see how it goes tomorrow night. I train at home in my garage and at the moment it’s over 30 C and humid as anything. At least it’s good for staying warm

Heavy deadlifts for reps in a hot and humid garage sounds like a great time!

We have a home gym here at the house, I know a thing or two about the heat living in the desert–but lucky no humidity.

I’ll submit my vid on Tuesday during my next deadlift session

My video is on the site. I did it during deadlift training this evening.

I’m in why not… Deadlift is miles behind my other lifts though. Do a bench one! Do a bench one! Where do I find this calculator?

Glad somebody stepped up to the challenge!

Sure sounded like a lot of people were interested, but I guess it was all bark no bite!

Hey clutz - I see you posted this yesterday, did you get it figured out by now? If not just shoot me a PM

I really hope we see some other takers. It sounds like it would be a good show. I was actually thinking of redoing it on Friday because I wasn’t too happy with my results. I hope I’m not alone on there.

I have some people saying they will post up later, some have tried last week and didn’t do as well as expected, etc. etc.

So, I don’t think that will be the case.

But, sounds like people may be taking this thing more seriously than I had thought! Here I thought it would be just for fun with high fives all around… maybe not? haha

This reminds me of when my brother did a bench press for bodyweight competition with facebook friends, and not a damn person posted a vid after my brothers because they were all worried. Idk what it is, but I think people have a real fear of video taping themselves and then getting beaten where others can see. In reality its no big deal at all, I mean if you can do one rep in this competition its already far above the average athlete

With that said, I am doing this thursday B. Money for sure, I was gonna do it today, but I decided to make today a light explosive day so thursday I’ll hit some heavy ass squats followed by doing the deadlift challenge! I’ll upload it the same night
