LW Strongman - 510 lbs Front Squat

If StormTheBeach is looking at hip position and foot placement then my squat is a little weird since I do have some imbalances; I generally squat with one foot a couple of inches behind the other and my right foot is typically pointed outward slightly more than the left. This is probably due to skateboarding for a few years when I was younger.

Very impressive. That was very damn deep too.

I can see how that would help strongman stuff. You’ve often got the weight in front of you. Not to mention that has to be fucking painful. Useful in strongman to have a high pain threshold too lol.

Thank you! I agree that Front Squats are a good movement in terms of carryover to strongman events, and the pain tolerance never hurts in this sport (excuse the pun).

What is it that made you switch to straps on the front squat? I’ve only hit 405 but I can imagine it’s to relieve wrist pain?
