I’VE BEEN REHABING THE PAST 6 MONTHS ,FROM C5C6 FUSION & LEFT SHOULDER IMPINGMENT SURGERY (NO TEARS).Things are going well until last week. It seems that every time i do any kind of pulldown & internal prone rotations I get alot of snapping & popping.
my ART PRACTIOTIONER SAYS MY LEFT LAT IS REALLY tight & that my lower traps are’nt firing once my arms past 90 degrees.I been doing the Inside Out before lifting.
My workouts consisted of push ups & legs
For Back i do
face pulls, external rotations rows & straight arm pulldowns
Hey, I had pretty much the same problem. I had it on and off for about a year, it came down to one heck of a tight left lat. My shoulder made all sorts of noises too. I swear people at the gym could hear it.
I did all sorts of stuff for it, all sorts of rotator cuff work, shrugs, face pulls…but the only this that seemed to work was foam rolling it. And man did it hurt to do. But it worked. It really loosened it up. That and some overhead band stretches.
Once I got it to the point where I could bench with only a little bit of discomfort, I started a Sheiko program and really concentrated on tucking my elbows in on the bench. Between this and all the deadlifting it seemed to be enough to loosen it up and strengthen it. FYI I havent done one single row, pulldown, or shrug since (3months) and it has felt better than it has in years.
Anyway, thats just my experience. This is what worked for me. Good luck. Hope this helps.
