It was a joke saying I don’t want to get fat.

I can never tell if people are being sarcastic on forums.

I don’t think many people do. Although with regards to the responses you’ve received it’s probably most people see your problem as something with a very simple solution. Which is to eat more and lift harder.

I don’t think lifting harder is logical. This isn’t the standard “I can’t gain weight” thread. I have gained in the past. I have gone from 135 to 185. I have a decent idea of what I am doing. My life and my newish job (6mo) seem to have changed things, I am burning off way more calories then I am use to. If you read my entire post I talk about losing weight without intent, and I am looking at a considerable back slide in body weight. I am looking for ideas from people when it comes to eating advice. Simply saying more doesn’t help, because I knew that when I posted originally. I didn’t know I needed to give a complete overview of my diet/workout to get some advice better then eat more.

I am currently losing weight, which is not my objective. I eat between 3-5,000 kcal a day. I get lots of protein, over 200 grams daily. I am even getting stronger. However I would like to pack on the muscle, or even stop losing weight. I am down to 170, this time last year I was 185. Part of my problem is at work I walk 10-14 miles a day.
I was thinking, lower volume higher intensity workouts. Restricting myself to 2 workouts a week and using splits. I have considered drinking several Ozs of olive oil after breakfast about 600 kcals worth.
Any advice to push things it the gaining direction and not the losing direction. If your advice is to eat more, tell me what I should be eating.
I see a few people made some suggestions, most of you just acted like assholes. I’m clearly not fucking everything up I am getting stronger and my body comp is changing to “hawt abs” but I know there is going to be a point where I completely stall out and I know its going to be within the next couple weeks.
I’m going to start drinking 5oz EVOO every day.
Eat more: Will try.
Eat dirtier: all ready was, I guess it can get worse…
Eat consistently: Will do.
Lifting Volume: ???
Rep schemes: ???

Look, just change your eating and see what happens. Don’t worry about the rest, yet.
Add milk, coconut oil, natural pb etc.

Well rule to gaining weight is calories in > calories out. Eat more. Its hard to say anything else. Don’t know what you were expecting. If I could gain without eating more, I would.
It doesn’t really have anything to do with your routine. As you get more muscle and size, you need to eat even more to gain. I’m sure you know this but it seems your looking for another solution. There isn’t one.

way to set yourself up for failure there.

You’re sure he knows this? If he knew this, he wouldn’t be asking the question.
Now im getting confused…
Original Poster:
Get a bag, fill with nuts… empty bag by end of day around 750-1500 cals depending on bag
Get jar of natural peanut butter, eat when bored (EASY to get through this)
Olive Oil add to EVERY meal
Coconut Oil Add to every meal
Whey protein, drink shake 1/2 hr before EVERY meal with olive oil, coconut oil with milk.
If in those 5 tips you still cant put on weight, take up collecting stamps.
Its NEVER well 99.9% never the training program, everyone THINKS they eat alot but they DONT.
Try all those and in 3 weeks come back and tell me you didnt gain weight.
Maybe it would help, if the OP told us want prevents him from getting 5000 kcals consistently.
I mean getting 1000 kcals at breakfast, lunch and dinner should be easy. Adding another 2000 kcals with snacks (nuts, dried fruit, protein bars, jerky) should be easy as well. I mean when walking 14 miles per day you do not have to do a low carb bulk.

I love this place, there’s always a good quote that makes me laugh…collecting stamps…classic line!
OP: If you’re walking around alot, the nuts option sounds easy to do.
I saw a club bouncer the other day who was wearing combats trousers with about 6 cargo pockets in them and he filled up all his pockets with snack foods before work…nuts, protein bars…stuff you can eat real quick without getting hassle for stopping work. If you don’t have to wear uniform trousers, perhaps you could do something like this?
Hell pretend you have a weak bladder and take lots of bathroom breaks and chug down some shakes lol!
I used to carry sliced chicken and mixed nuts around in a brown paper bag in my pocket. That helps.

If you want to make people sniff you out as to why it smells like cooked meat every time you’re around.
But hey, whatever gets the job done. Sliced chicken I find to be a little strange and don’t think I could eat room temp chicken myself.

It’s a conversation starter, and my leg kept the chicken nice and warm.
