Losing Weight & It's Not My Objective

I am currently losing weight, which is not my objective. I eat between 3-5,000 kcal a day. I get lots of protein, over 200 grams daily. I am even getting stronger. However I would like to pack on the muscle, or even stop losing weight. I am down to 170, this time last year I was 185. Part of my problem is at work I walk 10-14 miles a day.

I was thinking, lower volume higher intensity workouts. Restricting myself to 2 workouts a week and using splits. I have considered drinking several Ozs of olive oil after breakfast about 600 kcals worth.

Any advice to push things it the gaining direction and not the losing direction. If your advice is to eat more, tell me what I should be eating.

wow, how about nailing your intake within slightly narrower margins, tracking your intake and then making changes as required?

OR, start eating 3500 (give or take 100) for 4-5 weeks and see what happens, OR increase it by 100 cals every 2 weeks till something magical happens.

Start eating more, simple.

I worked at target up until a week ago and I would have to eat at least 4000 calories a day to keep gaining weight.

If it is 3000-3500, then it’s not hard to increase it.

Surely you would know since you in a calorie defict to eat more. The what isn’t hard. Check out Dirty Gerdy’s thread about bulking foods.

Gallon of Milk a day is a good start.
And big pieces of steak.

Buy a bike? Might burn less calories then walking.

Just eat more.

Liquid cals is the way to go, whole milk.

I am very familiar with the eat food gain weight idea of body building. I have been able to put on weight in the past.

My calorie range is that broad, some days I manage to get a huge amount of food in me, other days I don’t.

Also, I am lactose intolerant, I use to take pills for it but milk just doesn’t agree with me.

I need tips. Lifting volume, rep schemes, food tips.

You don’t need any tips. You need to pay attention to what the fuck you are doing. A range of 3-5,000cals a day is fucking retarded if the goal is to actually gain weight and stop wondering why it ain’t happening. It isn’t happening because you are fucking inconsistent.

Things like this shouldn’t require some huge dialog. It should be what goes on your head as you immediately STOP eating so randomly that there is a 2,000calorie difference from day to day in how you eat.

Serious question, how do people like this live alone?

I know that you can get raw milk in Illinois, you should look into it since you are lactose intolerant. I’ve been drinking a lot of it and seeing good progress.

My bad. I’ll be off eating my “three triple whoppers???”.

I’m sorry that this is going to sound outright assholish, but I’m starting to believe the only people with any chance of not clusterfucking bodybuilding are those with a scientific/medical background (I.E an analytical brain) or those who literally know nothing about calories or what is a lactose, and just fucking eat and lift because they were born that way.
