Hey I am 5’10 or 5’11, and 201 pounds. I started lifting 3 years ago and was 145 pounds. I’ve made huge improvements. Ok my problem is I could never gain…well now I think i’ve gained too much I am happy with my upper body…but my stomache man, its like I just cant get it back to seeing my abs and stuff…I am just scared if I run a whole lot I am going to lose some of that mass I worked so hard to get you know? Please let me know some good cutting workouts…thanks!
Did you give yourself a 10? cuz there were no responses and somehow you had a 10.

Damn dude i didnt know my rating would be this bad…fuck lol. Atleast when you rate me this shitty gimme sum advice.
I think the main reason for the low rating is the quality of the picture.
Take a clearer one where there isn’t shit in the way and ur not sitting down. You look much better than a 2 to me- so have a look around at other people’s pics and try to put one up similar to theirs.
You’ll get real advice and better ratings too.

Don’t worry, pro bodybuilders even get 7’s and 6’s, so don’t let it bother you. It’s mostly skinny dudes rating bigger guys a 1 or 2 because they hate themselves and they project their issues.
I haven’t rated him yet, because that pic shows nothing to rate. If I did, it would be a 3. Yeah he gained some mass, but I don’t see any definition at all. Like previously stated, need a better pic

You got it. Ratings are almost meaningless.

Take a better picture next time. This one is downright awful. In your defense, you seem to have some good size, so keep up the work and push at it with the bulk.
This is what happened to me.
I had some extra body fat, not too much, one could barely see me abs. I liked it that way because I could swim without sinking like a rock.
Now since I don’t swim often anymore I decided to see if I could drop the body fat and look like I did in my high school wrestling days. So using the Zone diet I figured out how many blocks of food I am currently eating.
I cut it by 1/3 and threw in some METCON workouts from Crossfit. The fat melted off in about two weeks. Of course I didn’t want to lose muscle – it is hard to get. So I then started eating again my normal calorie intake and found it not sufficient.
I actually had to add a lot more calories in order to maintain my new Lean Body Mass and not drop anymore fat. So now in the end I have to eat more now that I have lower body fat.
Heavy weight lifting burns up a lot of calories and add those METCON workouts and you might as well buy a farm if you want to continue to increase muscle, or at least not lose any. However – the long distance running is a poor burner of fat for the time invested – and certainly not helpful in maintaining muscle mass.
So anyway check those METCON workouts.
One more thing – your picture is ugly; get a new one.
Your not going to lose a whole lot of weight from running. Unless your doing marathons of course.

Ya dude, what about if i all out sprint tha straighta-ways and walked the corners…did that about…8 times? u think that would be a good way to burn some un wanted stomache fat. My routine is as follows…
Mon- Chest
Tues- Shoulders, Traps, And back
Wednesday- Legs Abs
Thursday- Arms
Friday- Chest
Sat- off
Sun- off
On sat and sunday tho i usually run.
And about tha pic im sorry i’ll get one that is better. Neways appreciate tha feedback.
Hey little bro. This is my little brother. You should put some pics on your profile of when you first started. Everyone will be able to see the great progress you have made. I think you need to do some burn outs. Work out with less weight and more reps. You will be able to define a lot better.
SO TRUE HUH ROCKSTAR
you need to see what u have built running not only changes bodyfat levels it gets rid of any and all excess weight to make the run easier. Take from me i spent four years in marine core infantry. I have ran up to ten miles in a single run.
find a good balance run but not too much to where you are running 7.0 on the tread.

do this and you will definitly lose mass light weight will tell your body it does not need the extra muscle. lift as heavy for 6-15 reps while cutting and let cardio do the rest.

You spelled Corps incorrectly, and you call yourself a devil-dog? How disgraceful.
do ten 15 sec full out sprints 3-4x a week while walking or jogging in between 45-60 seconds…very simple and very effective. You should feel like puking when you are done. Keep your cals where they are.
There are better and more sophisticated plans, this one will work nicely for 3 weeks, then you can transition to something else.

I suggest you change up your workout routine to give your body a bit of a shock. And as far as burning more energy and building the most muscle (ie increasing your metabolism), I think that 4 days upper body and one day of legs is kinda out of whack. you spend 3 days a week working chest and arms, but only one day on lower body?? at the very least i’d swap your 2nd chest day for a leg day. jmho.
