Looking for a Coach, IFBB Men's Physique 2014

Hi.

I just wondering if people here know some good fitness coaches? I need an coach who would coach me for 1 year. I want to compete in IFBB Men’s physique next year.

Thanks!

I would check out bb’ing.com use the search function for “physique coaches” and see what names are thrown out. If you are planning on paying for a coach for a year, I hope you’ve saved money. They aren’t cheap.

I’ve seen anything from $300 for 3 months up to $800 for the same time period. And for pre-contest prep (the last 12-16 weeks) that price goes well over $1000. Remember, more expensive is not always better, in fact I’d wager many are just utilizing their name.

There are some quality folks out there. If its your first comp, I’d think any experienced coach/trainer that can help you put on mass, and then dial in at competition time is all you need. If you give them your goals, they can cater the program to you. Be sure to ask questions and don’t feel obligated to hire someone if you aren’t comfortable with their answers.

Not to be an asshole, but don’t you have to qualify first to be in an IFBB show? Try winning a regional show that’s a national qualifier, that’s generally how it works unless of course something changed…

I know some people here have used Shelby Starnes, John Meadows is huge with online coaching but is very expensive. Like the other user stated, just do a search and see what comes up. Look for reviews from others as well. Good luck!

People seem to be confusing things lately.

-The NPC is the amateur federation on the untested side of things.
-If you win a Pro Qualifying event at this level, you win your ‘card’ and qualify to compete in the IFBB (pro league).

No one just decides that they’re going to enter an IFBB contest unless they’re already world class (enhanced) caliber and have won some national level contest against top tier competitors earlier on.

Thanks for clarifying Stu… I know we have a few NPC shows here, Francois and Mike Davies shows that are indeed NPC shows and national qualifiers. I must have a brain fart earlier and forgot they had to be NPC shows…
