Finally got some chalk. Deads tomorrow. This should be better than me looking for dust on the gym floor to dry out my hands.
Haven’t posted here before because:
- I thought only the follically challenged were allowed in here
- I don’t follow the path of 5/3/1
- Joe posts here alot and I figured two guys from Alabama both postin way to much for someone “up wonder”.
(The above was humor btw.)
Good lifts you’ve got going. My 2 cent worth. Go heavy hammer curls for the arms. Builds size the whole length of the bicep and the forearm. Oh, belated welcome.

Oh yeah…you’re that big bastard that throws stuff and swims far. Thanks for the welcome.
When I had tendonitis in my elbow the first movement I could do after about a 3 month layoff were hammers. After I got healthy i was up to the 70 or 75ers for reps if I remember. Don’t really recall why I stopped doing them…i’m adding them back in.
And you can’t have too many Alabameranians…Alabamathonians…Ala…guys from Alabama in a thread.
for some reason I woke up with Zevon’s Lawyers, Guns and Money in my head. I can’t find any good vids for that one. His band rocks on Excitable Boy
Even when he knew the end was coming (inoperable cancer), he kept his dry, sardonic sense of humour and wrote great songs. Would have liked to have met him.

Thanks! It’s dudes like you putting 250 over your head that make me go fuuuuucck I’m weak. But, then I pull my panties out of my ass crack and start thinking about how to get better.[/quote]
Its dudes like you who can see muscle definition that make me think fuuuuuucck I’m fat. Then I put another hole in my belt so it fits and eat my salad.
^^^ that made me laugh.
5/3/1 Deads 5’s day
225 x 5
245 x 5
335 x 13…PR up from 335 x 10 last cycle. I may have had 2 more but I didn’t want my spleen to shoot out my ass.
Pull-ups - these caused tendonitis in the past (weighted) so I keep them explosive and quit while I’m ahead
5,5,5,5,5
Dips BW - did one set and realized I was likely benching tomorrow so I stopped
18
Cable rows
100 x 6
135 x 6
180 x 6
210 x 6
135 x 6 (3 count hold at contraction)
Calves on Leg Press - 4 pps
Rest pause set of 50…ouch
Followed by a long, deep stretch…this may have been a PR for pain
I have a lot of fairly heavy stuff on my iPod (not that I know shit about heavy metal and all its sub-genres) but Hell’s Bells gets a lot of play. The slow intro makes me feel like I’m getting ready for battle.
Here’s something for you to bench to. I listen to it before every one of my Medieval Combat fights.
Its really only the first half of the video but Orff is the man.
Why does this log have no videos of you lifting heavy stuff? You wouldn’t happen to be…scared or anything like that. ![]()

You are a big, fat (well, actually cute and perky) shit disturber. Truthfully, I was recently left cameraless due to the buttery fingers of my wife. And, honestly I’m a bit self-conscious doing it in a busy gym (I generally lift at lunch time…awesome, not) so I’m not sure I’d be able to get over my “fear”…smartass
My hope is to soon have my own power rack at home in a dedicated space that I recently built. I have about 12’ x 14’ to work with. Then there should be vids galore…some with pants on, some not.
I get it. So there is a promise of future videos that will be worth the wait, in exchange for a video-less present. Way to go on creating high expectations! ![]()

Oops…you strike me as a woman with a long memory. damn!

Yeah, looks like I’m going to have to change identities again and disappear…man, the fake documents are such a hassle.

thanks. Jack seems nice. PMPM scares me a little. Better looking legs though.
Shouldn’t you ladies be asking Git for bicep pics?
13 rep deadlift. Ouch. Great training Giterdone.
You can run, but I know you really don’t wanna. ![]()
Joe, pictures of any sort are all good. git just may need a little more subtle prodding in order not to spook him.

I think that was my cardio for the week.
On 5/3/1, week 3 Deads I’m supposed to do 375 and I’m going to try for 8 reps. I’m tempted to raise my DL trainig max so that my working set reps are lower…but that is probably a bad idea. Any thoughts?
