Giterdone - sorry I’m late to the party but checked out your thread and you’ve got a lot of good lift’in, good music, and good flirt’in goin on.
Excellent combo in my book. Keep up the good work!

Thanks! I’ve been admiring your oldman strength. Gives me a target to shoot for.
Hey…that’s gives me an idea for new log title.
Great log dude. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Steely! Your log always inspires me to keep pushing the numbers
Looking real good in here! Thanks for the music! Gotta have a listen to the new petty… I’ve always had a soft spot for that.

That new log title is pretty darn accurate.

Thanks man! I totally agree! By the way, we should have our own forum.
The over 35 bold (natural or by choice) wanna-be powerlifters forum.

Yeah, well you know how to stop the flirtin…stop being so hot.
Damn! Did it again…I may have a problem.
But seriously…those new pants and your butt were made for each other.

That’s pretty much me.
And, re: bold, are you familiar with Freud’s work? How do you feel about that? ![]()

I prefer streamlined to bald.
is that the pc version?
So, today was supposed to 5/3/1 OHP day but my daughter has a cold so I “worked” from home and my son has soccer tryouts this evening. Crap.
Started listening to these guys lately. I could OHP to this.

Dang - I wish I’d said that. Both of them.
My son would say you have mad skillz.
Well now. You all best be careful or else my head will get so big that I won’t be able to fit it under the bar in the squat rack.
Thus far, however, I have gotten my flirt’s worth out of those new pants.
5/3/1 Cycle 3 Week 1
OHP
95 x 5
105 x 5
120 x 8 (target was 9+)
BBB
95 x 10,8,6
Right shoulder was feeling tweaky even during warm-ups. Not sure it affected strength but was a distraction. Damn, I suck at these.
BB curls - I think I like EZ curl better
70 x 5
80 x 5
95 x 5
105 x 5
110 x 3 (lost tightness, probably had a couple more - goal for next week)
95 x 10
Lateral raises - I need some width
25 x 8
30 x 5
35 x 8
Notes: I may have done too much assistance last week. I’ll have to keep an eye on it. OHP and flat bench are two movements I have basically avoided for the last 20 years since it would cause my shoulder to flare up. The result is I am painfully weak in both. I also lack a “groove” for the OHP. But things feel pretty good so I am working to get the numbers respectable over the coming months.
For what its worth I think EZ curls are better over all for joint health, at least for me. sometimes heavy BB curls really hurt my wrists.

I think you are right. The EZ was in use today so I figured what the hell.
GD,training is looking solid. I’ve using the ez bar as well lately. Does seem to be easier on the wrists.
