Look Strong, Be Strong

Like hell! Figuring 425 is about 85% of what you can do, based on reps, that’s a 500 pull. Equal to anything I’ve ever done.[/quote]

ooooh…I don’t think so. Not in my case anyway. I would be tickled, and a bit shocked, if I could pull over 460 conventional. 500 is still a hazy target off in the distance, I think.

Actually, I just plugged 425x4 in one of those 1 RM predictors and it came up with 464. Maybe I’ll give it a go when my next singles day comes around and see what is what.

My conditioning kinda sucks lately so I thought I would try this

100lb DBs x 30yds x 2 trips…straps cause they were slippery
50lb DBs x 30yds x 4 trips

I apologize for the length (man, if I had a dollar every time I had to do that…ba, dum, tishhh), the ass shot at the start and the swearing at the end.

canadians swear? who knew…

your a hoot, let me know when your ready for a PR you could always take Kimba or Snap for the first PR and then me for the second…not sure where wifey falls in there.
Oh yea, shes the one holding the gun aiming at the crazy man outside, she wont be any help…

EDIT: never mind I got a chill just thinking of this…

Well, for a new PR let’s see. Kimba and Snap are not much over 100lbs so they could replace the DBs. You’re little too so maybe a piggyback ride for a weight and hot chick PR! I would be a legend in my sleepy neighborhood.

My wife could watch from the deck and shake her head at her odd (but still charming) husband.

edit: No chill required. We’re Canadian…we hurt through insults, not guns
Actually, she is about your size so if we could figure out some sort of double-piggyback, hot chick farmer’s walk then we could take the act on the road. And I would be Dan John’s hero.

If you’ll let my husband and I camp in your back yard you can use me for one side of the farmers’ walks. My husband really wants to visit Nova Scotia.

My husband was really hip to your loaded snow walking vid. He’s into that type of functional strength training.

Deal! August and September are the best months to visit. Lots of options to have a good time.

I need to get out and move more so I’m just starting to work through my options. I just pushed snow around for an hour and kind of sounded like a little, wheezy freight train. Not good.

cool vid - had to wait til the end for the swearin you pirate

and you get extra points for doing that crap in 2 feet of snow.

Your backyard looks beautiful in a winter wonderland kinda way.

Actually, thank you

HA! I’m sure the wifey was watching from the window and facepalming, then scheming how she could use this to her advantage. “so he likes to carry heavy shit in the snow, eh?..hm…”

Hey Git, you ever thought of competing?

Wifey wasn’t watching but she would have been shaking her head if she was  She is slowly coming around though. She is actually quite fitness oriented. Just needs to program it into her life.
True story. Getting into bed last night I was groaning from my various muscle aches.
Her “So, is it worth the pain?”
Me “Absolutely”
I think I heard her chuckle.

Competing…HA! At what?

Did you see all of that white stuff on the ground? Farmer’s walks are much better without it.

You guys get epic snow, polar bears, and don’t have real BBQ or fried chicken.

You need to get the hell out of there.

Good conditioning work git, and I have to second the notion that it would be a lot more fun for you with Kimba and Snap.

Snow can be entertaining but the novelty does wear off pretty quick. Living somewhere sunny has crossed my mind more than once. The grandparents would hunt me down though.

I would kill for some southern BBQ and fried chicken. I do get tired of eating seal blubber.

Conditioning work is always better when hot chicks are involved (nudge, nudge, wink, wink)

Face it, anything is better when hot chicks (for you) and hot dudes (for me) are involved. I would be happy to be your carry weight, but I’m waiting until the nice weather.

That was a very creative use of snow and DBs. Kudos, sir! And the swearing at the end gave me my first laugh of the day, for which I am very appreciative. Funny, but I carried some DBs last night too…great minds think alike!

I’m sure he meant to give you full credit but, if I had to make a guess, distracting avatar is distracting and he lost focus.

Whoops my bad, maybe you can be part of the weighted dip routine?

Strongman competition with hot chicks as weights! This is gonna be big!
Strong dudes, beautiful ladies and Joe is in charge of the BBQ.

The line for entrants starts here _________

Really good pulling there Git!

That’s a great video. I did something similar a few years ago but it involved pulling kids on toboggans for time. If you’re ever interested in competing, there’s a lot of strong lifters in the east. Maybe because there’s fuck all to do there but lift and walk in the snow with dumb bells

Seriously, I think you’d have fun.

Good ass shot.
