Look Strong, Be Strong

Behind the baked goods! That’s so funny. And SO not gonna happen.

I do pretty much smile at everybody. Why not? Life is good.

So essentially you are saying that to males, hotness is not dependent upon age-appropriateness. Gotcha.

Same thing happened to the woman at the gym. She was at a bar with some friends and this 20-something was very interested. She smiles and talks to everybody. She told him she was 42 and figured that would work…guess again  She had to go to the “I’m married” response. She was perplexed.

Once you are of age thats pretty much all the concern for most of the males of the species. You have to remember most of have enormous but somewhat fragile egos.

Yeah not behind the baked goods, produce is where its at.

It just occurred to me that my forearms are underwhelming. Powerful forearms and calves are two impressive, perhaps because they are rare to see, muscle groups.

Calves I have been working on but I don’t think I’ve done a forearm specific exercise in 2 years. Grip is getting better but size needs work. Add it to the list.

Sometimes even the “I’m married” response doesn’t work.

I hope things are going OK for you, given the recent log title changes.

Ohhh…you must have a story about that. Share with the class?

Yeah, things are fine…a manageable life glitch. Thanks for the concern. I’m changing it again.

To some people “I’m married” just means you can bring an extra person.

Laughing at this, because RIGHT YOU ARE!

giterdone, suffice to say, that to my observation most guys have a filter on their horniness such that they might look at or flirt with a married lady, but won’t seriously go after one due to moral scruples and/or fear of the consequences of a jealous husband. Sometimes however this isn’t the case.

My shining older woman moment was when a young man hit on me in the grocery store. It turned out he was 17 years old. I only found out because, as chance would have it, we ended up training at the same powerlifting club for 6 months. He is a sweet kid but he must have a thing for older ladies because, when we were the same meet he was asking after a woman who just aged into the M2 class. Granted, she has a stunning body but I had to point him towards the junior lifters.

Yeah most do, though I think you are over estimating people morals. I think you are also underestimating the power an attractive woman can have over a man. While its no excuse for doing the wrong thing, sometimes the brain shuts down when a beautiful and intelligent woman is looking at you.

Maybe he just wanted to learn at the feet of the masters, so to speak.

Ouro, so what does a come on from a 17 year old to a more experienced woman sound like?

Something like, “so, you wanna come over and play with my Star Wars action figures? I’ll let you be Luke if you want?”

Texas Flood was one of those albums that had me transfixed when i first heard it. Just when he had beat the bottle he went down in a helicopter crash. Fucking pissed me off.

I had an experience like this. An 18-year-old guy a few years back. We both worked/trained at a gym and regularly chatted. I never thought anything about it even though he would come sit by me to talk when I was sunbathing at the pool. The other mothers would snicker and tease me. I guess I was pretty naive. The situation reached its zenith when he called my cell phone one night and invited me to come watch him at his track meet. I finally said something to him like “you know, I’ve been married longer than you’ve been alive.” I’m really very shy about come-ons and generally don’t pick up on them.

Ummm…let’s do a survey and show your avatar to a bunch on 18 year olds and see who is interested. There would be fist fights over who gets dibs. Just sayin’.

He was something special. Complete mastery and a sound that could be dirty as an alley or clean as snow.

The first song that fired up on my iPod was by Antony and the Johnsons. I was feeling a bit drained anyway but I took it as a sign when a 6’4" gay man started singing a love song in my ear that maybe I should just take it easy today, lol. Great artist BTW.

Then I listened to the new Tom Petty album. Different than my usual training diet of Mastodon, Lamb of God, Pantera etc.

More Tom. Sung from the heart. A simple song but it has work, marriage, family, regret, weariness but optimism and determination…“I’m in it for the long run, wherever it goes.”
