Look at all the curls, did your Wendy’s come with an Affliction tee shirt?
Planks suck, that is all.

I think I’m going to skip the t-shirt and go right to the tank top. The ones with the skinny shoulder straps and the big cutouts on the sides…sexay.

That tank will look awesome with your tuque in -20 weather
Mainy, yes awesome. Actually I should be starting to insulate the building next week. Maybe get it up to -10C
With all the Olympic lifting talk going on around here, this came up in my Youtube travels. I’m a sucker for a comeback story.
Wow.
Thanks for posting that.
Watching things like that makes me feel I must train harder.

posted that to my facebook Git. Inspirational.
This is what 4 x 45 = on my scale. As you can imagine, it kind of fucks with my numbers.
Cycle 7, week 2 Deads (3s)
315 x 3
365 x 3
405 x 5
425 x 4
I’m over the bar a bit too much but the hip flexor pain that has been bugging me is largely gone.
Wide grip pullups
8,8,7,5 switch to chins, 5
Rear delt
2 x 20
Shrugs
225 x 5
315 x 5
405 x 11

Nice pulls. You really sit down on it. I can’t wear pants/leggings when I DL. Feel like the friction works against me.
Thanks. Due to some issues, and the same reason I pull sumo most of the time, I try to take my low back out of it as much as possible. Not always successfully.
And, I’ve been meaning to add in high squats from pins as assistance. Since the initial drive off the floor is basically a high squat, I thought this might help. We’ll see.
edit: I also need to sort out a GHR arrangement.

Basically, the guy had two shattered wrists and then came back to lift OVER HIS HEAD what I DL’d today. Yeah.
Along the lines of stop making excuses and being a pussy, I love this ad. Maybe, just maybe, success takes unrelenting focus and hard work.

nice tunes and great DLs! 405x5 was your top set for your 3’s night? and then the 425x4 was gravy?

Thanks dog. Well, here’s the thing. According to the scale, which seems to be accurate since i weigh the same on it as at the gym and a 45 lb bar weighs 45lbs, 4 plates showed 190lbs. This should be 180, obviously.
So, I did reps with 405 (top set and not 4 plates a side) but then felt bad because it wasn’t 4 plates, loaded the 4 plates (425 total) and did that.
I’ve decided to get a scale I can rely on, weigh each plate and grind them to the correct weight. Not that big a job actually as there is a lip on the plates. Why a manufacturer would use more material than necessary is a mystery to me.
Hi I’m just planting my behind down in your log since you find your way into mine lol
You have very nice numbers, from DL to OHP. Definetely a good follow on my part.
Hey! All behinds are welcome.
