Meditation. Love the idea. But my brain runs a million miles an hour. Despite reading many Buddhist books and taking umpteen yoga classes, I’ve never successfully learned how to shut it down. Or even lower the RPMs.
I hope your work stress lessens soon, Git. Hopefully your lifting provides a bit of stress relief.

Not so much meditation for me as much as just stepping away. I’ll go out into the parking lot for 10mins, breathe cool, cold, crisp air. Just kinda let go for short spurts & than back to the grindstone.
EDIT- I have a bottle hidden behind the dumpster…J/K.

I too have the redline brain. I did Transcendental Meditation ™ in my 20s to help with sleep issues. Basically, repeat a mantra over and over to take your brain off of everything else it is cluttered with. I did see some benefits. But, of course, I was too unfocussed and hulk-smash to stick with it.
I have my dad’s analytical, look at the issue from all sides, run the analysis, try it with new inputs, run it again, come up with the most elegant solution, I’m smarter than you why can’t you fucking understand that, let’s do a pilot study before we commit brain.
I always enjoy your videos. I noted that snapper was trying to get you to wear less (an idea that I heartily endorse) but it certainly is damn cold up there.
Remembering to breathe is a really good start to containing the work stress. As a meditation and yoga failure, that’s all I’ve got for ya. Hope your day improves.

It is a bit nipply…nippy, I mean nippy, up here this time of year.
Breathing. Hey, I just tried that. It kind of works
Day is much better, thanks.
Squats
225 x 3
275 x 3
camera battery dies…arghh
330 x 3
340 x 1
350 x 1
High squats to pins
350 x 5
380 x unracked it…better raise the pins
380 x 5…not bad, lower pins again
380 x 3…about 6 inches above parallel. I am a loooong way from going deep with this kind of weight.
Did you unload the weight onto the pins at the bottom and then push up from a dead stop? If so, I find that amazingly difficult. The same with natural GHRs.
Kimba, I have done them from the pins but this time I wanted to unrack and try and get the feel for the right position on the descent. I just lightly touched the pins then pushed. I find it difficult to find the right position when pushing from a dead start on the pins.
I think I’ll try 405 next time since I’ve never had that on my back before.
George, trust me I had to use my hands to break the fall and get some momentum going on the way up. Otherwise, my face would not look as pretty
