Gonna be some interesting training gear but I think I can manage. Are those bench shirts they are wearing? Gear whores.
And all the women need to wear chain-mail outfits…neato!

Apparently, there is demand for that sort of thing.

Cycle 6, Week 3 (3/5/1)
Bench
w/u
170 x 5
190 x 3
215 x 1
Singles
225 x 1…PR. Most I have benched in over 20 years. Shoulder feels fine.
230 x 1…PR.

185 x 6, 5…had to rush out. Late for meeting.

So, I have officially graduated to 2pps. I suck just a little bit less today.

Nice PR! I’m almost there as well except that I have never been up at 2pps on the bench.

Git, I swear there’s two lap dancing posts to every training related post on your log.

I have to make sure my wife isn’t looking over my shoulder when I look on here, she might get the wrong idea.

Congratulations on the bench PR.

Yeah, I know. Bit of a goofy log. Blame it on me if you get in trouble.

I’d take pole dance over lap dance. But, not a huge fan of either.

Thanks Mr. Dog. Your lifts are looking great. My upper body pushing is terrible but I’ll keep pluggin along.

A tip of the hat to ya, sir! Congrats on the two wheels…onward and upward…

That is a very well-deserved PR. Great work!

P.S. You’ve just benched my lifetime deadlifting goal.

Thanks OG and Kimba. It’s not big weight compared to others, obviously, but I’ve been so hampered by my shoulder for so long I’m happy that there is any progress.

I’m going to try and hit 275 by this time next year.

hey 2 wheels is no small feat!
good job

Did you get eaten by the polar bears up there?

Thanks for checking in. My week has been total shit as far a diet & training is concerned.

My work stress has been close to redline and I think I dropped a couple of pounds. My wife started her new job on Monday so she has been a little wound up about that.

However, on a more cheery note, the kids have been helping me get the gym set up and I hope to use it startig tomorrow. And I’m off for 2 weeks after today so I expect to have my act together shortly.

Two weeks? that should get you up and used to your new gym.

Also on a side note, I have never since I started working at 15 had two weeks of vacation, at teh same time I mean.

I understand completely.
This is the first time I have ever had 2 weeks off in a row. The only reason I’m taking it is because of my wife’s new job and the kids being off from school.

Squat day
Tried out the new rack today.
Snap, sorry no vids. My camera kept timing out after 10 seconds. Need to check the settings I guess.

Squats (knee sleeves)
w/u
265 x 5
295 x 3
335 x 1
then
345 x 1
355 x fail…made it about 6" out of the hole.

My hip flexors are causing me some pain during the descent which is throwing me off. Too much sitting I’m guessing. More stretching, more foam rolling.

Front squat
135 x 3
185 x 3
225 x 3, x 3…these felt good.

Some BB curls in the squat rack…because I can.

I do not believe that a smart guy such as yourself can or should be defeated by a camera.

I will prevail!

Nice squatting, I’d be pretty happy with a 345 squat.
